Certainly brought the crowds out! I don't have any particular interest in aeroplanes, but I do go to the London Wetland Centre in Barnes, which is right under the flightpath, and some guys do go there to photograph planes too.
An excellent secne capture, at 0:35 it’s almost as if the A380 is scrapping across the house roof. It seems quite a lot of people have come over to see the A380. Thumbs UP!!!!!!!
Go to Hatton Cross Tube station ( Don`t even think about taking a car lol !), cross the road outside .. the A30, at the lights ( not the road with the pedestrian bridge ..wrong road ) turn right and walk along the pavement for about 5 minutes..you are then there !
Whens the first commercial airbus A380 coming into San Francisco intl?I cant wait anymore! if anybody has a schedule of when put it on my profile here please.
i wouldnt live that close to heathrow, not now the pilots have discovered the belly flop landing. hey has anything come of the enquiry into that crash yet. i think the wet soggy grass saved em myself. took the impact and snapped the undercarriage off so it slid to a halt. just a thought.
Thanks for all your comments ! ..especially from SIA ( was it really from sia ! wow thanks!) and first to fly group. Glad you found the video of interest, and I see many of you have posted great videos yourselves too ! PS . For the opposite extreme in flying, check out my Barra Airport video if you`ve not done so !
cool video! i would be scared as hell if i were that close to it. im goin to singapore in a weeks time so im hoping to go on this model plane with singapore airlines
I've just had it fly over my head 11.42 am Easter Sunday (a bit late) - out west 27L - and it was stunning - in my opinion it is another plane that you will have to stop and look at - every time. Nice video that captures the moment!
I wanna see this. Where the place situated that they were viewing this from? I know Heathrow but what street, viewing area? Also how would I find out when the A380's touching down in the future?
Yes, this video was taken from the field at the end of Myrtle AVENUE (Myrtle road is a completely different place!) which is a great place to watch planes landing on runway 27Left .. which they do for half the day, switching in the afternoons between the left and right runways (27R and 27L ). ( The schedule can be found on the baa Heathrow website. You can easily get to the field by crossing the road (A30) outside Hatton Cross tube station and walking about 5 mins to the right.
I was on the flight. Fantastic very quiet inside and loads of room in economy. Had a fabulous breakfast and rception with a jazz band at Changi. Everybody had their photos took and will be sent a special set of stamps. Then on boarding we found a laptop bag at our seat full of goodies and after take were given a signed 1st flight certificate. The cabin service and food were fab. A great way to end my holiday.
Thanks for the comments, (well, some of them !!). Glad I struck lucky and was with the crowd waiting on 27L not those waiting on 27R, who can`t have been very pleased at all ! Yes, its an amazingly quiet plane, especially considering its size.

Good video. I missed the damn thing as we were waiting at runway 27R with other mugs. Why did they land it at 27L when everything else was landing at 27R? Bloody waste of day!!!
It must have been an amazing sight, looks like such a slow approach too, wish I could have been there! Do you know if there will be an arrival on Good Friday at all?

I think it's at the end of a cul-de-sec called Myrtle (or Murtle) Road. It's opposite Hatton Cross Tube Station.
