  • mo huilan's from the '96 olympics is possibly my favorite vault in the history of women's gymnastics.

  • This one should be in this list

Meng Fei - 1995 Worlds Team Optionals - Vault 2

  • do you know when the mat around the springboard became mandatory?

  • gr8 list though i might add 4 consideration the Dominique Dawes team finals vault from 94 worlds, Annia Portuondo's yurchenko double full from 96 worlds EFs, vanessa atler's 1997 & 1998 nationals vaults, Betty Okino's 91 American Cup vault, something from Gina Gogean & of course, Oksana Chousovitina's early stuff from 90-91.

  • where is shannon miller 1992 olympics AA vault 1? That has to be somewhere in the rankings! it was the most beautiful vault ever

  • It's in there. All of these are in need of some re-rankings. There are a lot of others that I want to add and a lot of stuff that I want to change about the order of this. I was relying a little too much on difficulty and too little on execution when I first made it.

  • Are double fronts considered difficult vaults?

  • yes, it's the highest difficulty vault ever done by a woman-- only Produnova has ever done it.

The triple twisting yurchenko is a 7.2 (but it's never been competed), the Amanar is a 6.5 and the handspring double front is a 7.1.

  • Great montage! Thanks
