  • Los efectos tan bien pero nada ke ver con la historia....

  • Is this a collage?

  • @Clambercty VFS is a private post-secondary institution. We are like a college, except all of our programs are condensed into 1 year, instead of the usual 3-4. This means that are students are industry ready and prepared to enter the workforce sooner. Thanks!

  • Question. I have only motion tracked one or two times but it looks to me like he used automatic 2D tracking (or what it's called in the software he used), would you recommend using that many tracking points? I only used like 20 points. But I guess it depends on the motion and movement of the clip you track. Or am I wrong?

    Thanks, and great vid.

  • @Kneeeta89 He didn't used 2D tracking.

  • NICE.

  • Two thoughts. "Shit gets serious when you drop yer coffee" and "So thats how they made stonehenge"

  • I think the shutter speed was too high in the beginning or something because there's not enough motion blur and the lighting is bad but it's outside lighting so that was a hard task anyway. The block thing was really cool though.

  • @truth3712 you can choose to enable or disable motion blur. He clearly disabled it.

  • @stokmarknes yea. bad choice.

  • that's a lot of rotoscoping. How many weeks did it take to rotoscope that?

  • cool intro...great vid

  • rather interesting

  • Theres a lot more to be done in VFX... Get imaginative man!!

  • Congratulations, thiago....

  • Cool stuff!

  • nice video man and good comp, but i have Q

did you animate mask key by key on two this person?

coz i don't see green screen

  • It says rotoscope, so frame by frame

  • inspired in "sometimes" by Pleix. Isn´t it?

  • Belos efeitos! Continue com o trabalho, muito bom.

  • Alright man,

I was just wondering what music you used for this video? If anyone else knows, it would be very very appreciated :)

    Nice vid laaa x

  • This is a work apart from all the robots and blasts that you get in a visual effects reel ...

    Great work Thiago

  • lol this video was just an excuse for 3d compositing

  • i've a question..

i'm italian with passion Visual Effect...i've heard that news...a name "VFS"...and i went into their site a "column" Visual Effect for Film & Television...

    i can't to say...but i need..what did you spent?...49.000$?..can i to have a financing for those year?

    Thank you very much!

    Francesco Marullo

ps: great idea for your clip... ;)

ps2: Can i to have your adress for Messenger?

    PLEASE! XD

  • hey buddy, thanks for the comments.

Yeah, the tuition for the course is CAD 49.000,00. Quite expensive, right?

You can get a loan in US if have an american cosigner. The school itself doesn't have it, at least not at my time. Or try to get it in Italy.

But anyways, the was great and I miss it a lot.

I sent you a message with my email and msn address.

    Thanks again

  • Hi guys, I appreciate all your comments. This video is the result of a hard work year and I am very proud of it.

    Thanks you all. =D

  • errgh this idea is so lame!!

  • jou... is it .. but good made effect

  • No it aint.

  • I don't get it....what does the random items mean and when she throws a piece of it at him...he gets back together with her? Could someone please explain this to me???

  • simple..the pieces coming apart represent the breaking up of there relationship (the peices are the relationship) she throws a peice at him and the pieces come back together as does the relationship..at least thats what i got from it. Nice tracking/compositing etc buddy.

  • keren..biaya wat ke vancouvernya brapa ye..?

  • nice work dude.which software did u use?

  • I used Maya for 3D and Nuke for compsiting.

  • I used Maya for 3D and Nuke for compsiting.

  • Excellent work! Much better than most of the vfx reels vfs puts out.

  • That is great! so Cool! Im thinking about joining VFS for Film Production but I dont know....

Do you know what the age limit is (min. max.?)

I Was thinking of going to university but do you have to go to VFS right after high school or what?

Can anyone answer my questions? please thanks.

  • If you're at least 19 years of age, you can go to VFS. You can go at a younger age if you graduate from High School sooner, but you do NOT need a High School Diploma in order to go to VFS.

  • the actors need talent...a lot but is good

  • This was really good, BUT if you want to see a great talented work on a video check out Nyee Moses "between us"

IT IS THE HOTEST VIDEO OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • watch?v=uPyDW24rpPA

  • awesome duud ... like the drum :D

  • hmm, for the last scene the lightning on the blocks was TOTALLY off. It didn't match the scene at all. All the other parts you did a great job and it fit in really well, but the scene where she throws something at him, definitely needed to make the blocks a lot darker. Just my opinion.

    Great video =D

  • soo after a walk

    the two made up????

    kind of un real

  • Yeahhhhh VANCITY 604 !! YEAH YEAH~!

  • Thanks everyone for the comments. I am glad that you enjoyed it.

    =)

  • rotoscoping is a pain in the ass, but beneficial... bitter sweet.

  • My god! Not the coffee! Look out! There are giant flying rocks behind you! AHH! EVERYONE'S GOING TO GET MASSACRED! Huh? What's this? Oh, some sort of sculpture?! Hey! Stop that writing on the screen! Oh look, credits. That was cool.

  • was this the entire schools reel? It was a decent vfx scene, i was waiting on a match move though. Good work.

  • Que bonito!

  • Me gustó la relación que se hace entre los sentimientos de la pareja y el monumento. Como se rompe, como los sigue en su molestia y como se rehace en su reconciliación

  • A really good short story and emotions wise, but for Vancouver film school I honestly thought it could at least have a bit of motion tracking since it's not that hard at all and stationary camera angles the whole way through dont really look as good as pans etc thrown in... But otherwise really good effects-wise, and the idea behind it was real good too. Just my opinion

  • agreed, i was waiting on a match-move the whole time

  • agreed, i was waiting on a match-move the whole time

  • Wow this is really good. You worked really hard on it and it payed off

  • Made that song/theme by your self? I like the video, but would like to know who made the music as well ;)

  • cool

  • The monument behind them broke apart as they shout as each other and later they end up reconciliating so the pillar which was broken are coming back together piece by piece.

  • tool´s schism would fit this veideo greatly

  • as if... schism is more of an underground sort of action theme... like breathe by prodigy.

  • yeah, whats the point of your comment again? underground or not has absolutly nothing to do with this. If you dont see the similarities between schism and this video, than listen closer.

  • it would change the over all feel of the movie bigtime is all. calm down buddy.

  • im calm ;) what i meant was that the lyrics would fit it. It would change the feeling for sure.

  • ohhh ok sorry i thought you meant the musical part. its fairly dark. but the lyrics yea they would fit. my bad.

  • ....i think in the "about this video" part of the page you shuold put an explanation about the video...and the handwritting in the video was fast, messy and hard to read. explain the video a bit better c'mon...sum of us are dumb but would still like to understand the video.

  • VANCOUVER = BEST PLACE ON EARTH.

  • I don't get it, could someone explain this to me?

  • Great work. I liked how they used visual effects to explain the story.

  • nice

  • Too much contrasted, at least, for the quality of youtube :\

  • I get the whole artwork metaphor. Very creative.

  • That girl was cute.

  • Cool explanation.

  • bravo! I love how you explained the special effects!

  • kool

  • That's too cool.

Even the simplest accomplishments can be complicated.

  • nice, very cute vid

  • That was cool. Nice job.

  • great job kids

  • nice. you guys at VFS do great work.
