The dutch equivalent of cancer = 'kanker'

People who combine these two usually think they are cool, while 90% of the population think they're asses :D.

The only difference is that Kanker is a lot more offensive to people than Fuck. But the way it's used is identical.

'Fuck' and 'fucking' are different.

Kanker moeilijk = ook gewoon 'fucking moeilijk'. So the choice to use cancer is there, not like there is no other word you can use.

I'm not saying you can't use phrases with cancer in it. But you people sure know how offensive it can be, or how stupid you come over to other people. Still you choose to use it. So such choice says a lot about you.

When someone uses the word Kanker 99.9% of the time it doesn't have anything to do with Cancer. Just like how saying "I don't give a fuck" has nothing to do with sex.

If you get offended by it you're taking it out of context and change it in to something it's not.

That's a good point. :) However cancer has a really negative image and thus can hurt people. Choice to use it is up to you.

I'm not offended. I'm just not charmed by people who use such a word, it carries a lot of negative emotion. And why do people use it then? To be 'cool' >_>

It has nothing to do with trying to be 'cool'

It's a word. People use it.

It adds emphasis to a sentence, just like fuck. Which one people use personal preference, or simply the world they grew up with.

Also, for as far as I'm concerned, people don't die from having sex.

And about cancer, a lot of people are offended by it. And for a reason.

By the way, there are a lot of other sentences or words you can use instead of cancer. Just make your frame of reference bigger. But then, that is again a choice... :)
