Do that in 50s WZ and you will lose, every time. Tracer missle to apply heat signatures, then heatseeker, unload, rail shot, tracer dart. I get over 400-500k damage in every wz, and id say 25% of damage actually comes from TM. I spam it when everything is on CD, to get unload to refresh, but usually that's only 1 or 2.

But that is how far you will get. Average-skilled juggernaut/marauder/sorcerer/operative will make you a bag of grounded meat. They just need to cc you, and your ONLY escape ability as Arsenal got 120 sec cooldown.
Full PvP gear vs people who have reg gear.. I play an Aresnal Merc, and I know that spamming Tracer Missle doesn't work like that. Tracer is a start up move to make everything else hit much harder while at a low heat cost, but if you try and spam it, your just going to look like a noob while other classes dance around your grave. Even with all the skills, Mercs still suffer, they are stationary characters, once a melee class gets in range, you find yourself struggling even with Jet Boost
@warlord6272 he had some pvp gear but not full... he probably had 2 piece pvp to get the 15% crit bonus on tracer missile which is why he crit so often. I know for a fact his chest piece was pve not sure of the other as i only watched about a minute of it.

Doing well because you have a strong team and are playing against bad players does not make you overpowered. In most of the games I've played, a Merc doing that wouldn't last more than 30 seconds. He'd be farming a deathcount, not medals.

This is clearly not just a poke in the side towards BW and a message that tracer missile spam is boring.
Killing poorly geared level 12-48's mostly.. very hard.
Didn't get CC'ed and focused once nor did anyone interupt him which is the easiest way to lock down an arsenal merc.
Ok PVE gear, power and surge.. makes your attacks hit pretty hard.
Playing against randoms without coordination OR gear... That's rare on my server.
Contrary to popular belief that's not a day in a mercs life.

Full PvP gear vs people who have reg gear.. I play an Aresnal Merc, and I know that spamming Tracer Missle doesn't work like that. Tracer is a start up move to make everything else hit much harder while at a low heat cost, but if you try and spam it, your just going to look like a noob while other classes dance around your grave. Even with all the skills, Mercs still suffer, they are stationary characters, once a melee class gets in range, you find yourself struggling even with Jet Boost

@warlord6272 he had some pvp gear but not full... he probably had 2 piece pvp to get the 15% crit bonus on tracer missile which is why he crit so often. I know for a fact his chest piece was pve not sure of the other as i only watched about a minute of it.

@mackuss It's slightly overtuned but not nearly as bad as people make it sound. If people would pay attention and interrupt him he wouldn't be doing nearly as much. Just look at arcane mages in WoW, sure they hurt a little at the beginning but if you let one ramp up their damage you will find yourself in a world of hurt.

You guys don't get the whole point of the video. He obviously is not showing he is op or skilled. He is showing that the class is awfully boring to play and anyone with no brain cells can top damage with it.
Now imagine if he used his stun, knockback, and the instant casts nukes he gets powered by those missiles? Or the heat loss power, CC breaker and aoes?

Doing well because you have a strong team and are playing against bad players does not make you overpowered. In most of the games I've played, a Merc doing that wouldn't last more than 30 seconds. He'd be farming a deathcount, not medals.

As a merc I am insta-targetted in PVP because of peoples misconception that tracer missile is going to own them like that.
