I, for one, think the point was kinda lost here. No doubt there is people who cake on makeup like theres no tomorrow, but most dont. And when you properly remove ur makeup before going to bed, you are helping clean your skin, so all these 365 layers are artistic, but pointless. And there are statistics that show that most women who dont wear makeup dont cleanse their faces properly. I dont think this video gives a reason to bash makeup like some are doing. Artistically it's fine, but that's it.

The point of the video wasn't to trash people for wearing make up. It was to inform people of how much make up is used in a year. They aren't idiots who don't know you wash your make up off, they're just showing that you use more than you think you do. I understand the use of make-up as an art - a dear friend designs her face with eyeliner every day (and it's effing AMAZING!!). And I don't think that everyone that wears make up has zero self-seteem. It's a for of expression. But I don't wear it.

I understand the point of the video, and I also think that it has a nice message, but I also think it helps to matriculate the idea that the only reason anyone uses make up is to cover themselves up or for confidence and acceptance. I am a studying make up artist, and I and many others love make up because it's another art. You can transform an entire person into something other worldly. I love make up as art, and make up masks as art.

Everyone has hobbies n things they love n stuff they like to wear. Why is makeup an activity that gets so condemned? I understand its to make girls realize they r beautiful w/o makeup but makeup isnt always about doing it to make urself "beautiful." I wear makeup n I own TONS of it. Okay, so half of you viewers aren't getting the point of the title Natural Beauty, or even the video. This whole video is meant to show girls how much makeup they are caking on their faces over a year. The model looked gorgeous fresh faced, hence NATURAL BEAUTY, and when each layer of the makeup was applied, she lost that NATURAL BEAUTY. being a guy that wears make up not for any degree of shock value ect its very interesting to watch videos such as these and read the comments about sentiment which at times can be somewhat off. make up is used not just to show off but to hide, for comfort and for a level of distance between you and others. its a very beautiful video but also to be ones self means being ones self if you cant do it without make up then you have issues on a deeper level at any rate (in my opinion.)
