I notice how heavily Donizetti is influenced by Rossini in the music(operas like Ermione and Bianca e Falliero come to mind style wise, Armida, too). It is very beautiful. It is good to see such little known works come to light too.

I also hope to see more Mercadante and Pacini come out too. I am sure it will too, what with opera raras and others work.

I also have recently discovered Mercadante's output into the opera oeuvre. His music is absolutely delightful. I am listening to his "Caritea" at the moment :)!
