@PazToTheMan i havnt got mine yet but ive seen people do it straight from a record player, but if i am mistaken then you can digitally put vinyl on your pc then into the program :)
@TechWings All i know is that you can't directly hook up your record player to it. but thank you! i need to figure out what program to use because i have a gang of records i want to sample.
i didnt like all the automatic chopping programming on this so i just started setting in and out points manually in the "edit" tab and not applying them. THen i just duplicate the each pad over and select the next sample one by one. This way I can always go back and readjust the in-out points if i want.
A few things about maschine i found i didnt like but it was easy enough to find simple workarounds

@bea2ooth12 You probably unchecked the Pattern load option in the browser area. Small click/unclick sign on the left low side of the browser. Hope that helps!!
There is a little box below the area where the kits are. If the box is checked, a sample/template beat will load when that kit is selected. Some kits have multiple ones too. You must've unchecked the box, which is what I do. I think the default setting is having the box checked, but I like making my own beats. Occasionally I will use those parts of those loaded beats but just edit them my own way, add and subtract from them.
@SuperiorNizzle I got the mikro for christmas It's basically just more compact, you can't slice samples directly from the controller, and it doesn't have the upper knobs you can use for assigning to such things such as bass wobbles and what not if your into making dubstep. It's just a more affordable option.300 dollars versus like 550 for the regular.

The plugin latency on this 'maschine' is horrible and makes it virtually unusable with Apple Logic Pro. NI hasn't done anything to make it work in a real pro environment. SAD !

Well-known systems are: ProTools, Logic, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live and WaveLab. There are many online video tutorials out there to get you started. (or online courses)
@ziplockkdweezy i don't have that experience myself, but it should work smoothly. You should check some youtube videos and/or the NI forum about this. Good reference material. Have fun.
@15381472 Maschine is pretty much software with a midi controller, so you're not actually putting anything into the hardware, it just controls the software. So no, you don't have to buy another maschine, you can just update the software. It's free.

For all Maschine users!!!.....I got a major problem, When I export my beat from maschine, to iTunes, I get hear a bad distortion in the song...but when I play the song thru maschine I do not hear the distortion, is anyone else having this problem??..Whats going on??....Please HELP...

@Hemz08 hell yeah! i never use it standalone anymore. it's a fun sampler/drum maschine but pain in the ass to actually make a whole song on it, even though you can i stick to my abletons. you can even drag midi clips from maschine into your daw and route your daw midi settings to basically play the maschine using (your own daw's) it's own midi patterns. plus at the the touch of two buttons it turns from maschine controller to a midi controller to do whatever you want with it.

That is true but your pc wont be dependable I lost about a 100 beats using a pc. I switch to mac and never caught a virus. Check this out I bought a open labs neko 7gs pc guts i7 the works caught a virus before I even got started sent that shit back. Macs are dependable thats why people are buying them even making them now.

For all Maschine users!!!.....I got a major problem, When I export my beat from maschine, to iTunes, I get hear a bad distortion in the song...but when I play the song thru maschine I do not hear the distortion, is anyone else having this problem??..Whats going on??....Please HELP...

@Hemz08 hell yeah! i never use it standalone anymore. it's a fun sampler/drum maschine but pain in the ass to actually make a whole song on it, even though you can i stick to my abletons. you can even drag midi clips from maschine into your daw and route your daw midi settings to basically play the maschine using (your own daw's) it's own midi patterns. plus at the the touch of two buttons it turns from maschine controller to a midi controller to do whatever you want with it.
but yeah, vst!

That is true but your pc wont be dependable I lost about a 100 beats using a pc. I switch to mac and never caught a virus. Check this out I bought a open labs neko 7gs pc guts i7 the works caught a virus before I even got started sent that shit back. Macs are dependable thats why people are buying them even making them now.

@STYLESONTHETRACK macs are made for people like you that really don't know your way around a computer is simple press and play type guy. yes mac's are great. but if you know why you catch a virus and how to tweeak a windows machine you will naver have a problem with a windows pc. had a gateway andafter 8 years with that old gateway i bought a lenovo by IBM 300 bucks new. i run ableton, sonar, propeller, serato itch and live. run karaoke at bars and video. so far the lenovo is pretty solid.
