Woody was a slightly "naughty" comedian who became very successful with his "party" albums (recorded from his live nightclub performances in Florida)- he was the one who succeeded Johnny Carson on the ABC daytime comedy/quiz show "WHO DO YOU TRUST?", after Carson left to star on "THE TONIGHT SHOW" in the fall of 1962. After that ended in late 1963, Woody continued to appear in nightclubs until he began his daily syndicated talk show in 1967 (it lasted about two years).
