What a great character study of the many facets of Damon. I totally agree with you: besides the hotness (and those fantastic blue eyes! ;-D ), I too love the character. I like your insight that K showed him the "bad" ways to be a vampire. But beyond that, I think D is very lonely and has never had any love or compassion shown to him until E came along. I love the scene where E tells D she's sorry about K. He is speechless. This may be the first time anyone has shown him any empathy for his loss.

This was gorgeous. You really got down into Damon's character and the human Damon in 1864. It was fantastic. I especially loved the 1864 Damon merging into present day Vampire Damon, as the lyric "lost myself again and I am nowhere to be found" played. It was haunting and sad at the same time.
