Ncloth is much more powerful and can be used to simulate so much more than cloth. I just worked on a shot where a leaf blows in the wind and shreds into pieces mid-flight, I was able to model, simulate, light, and render the entire shot in a day using Ncloth. Plus it's free with Maya :)

N Cloth is amazing!

syflex is faster in reaction of viewport.

but ncloth seem to be slower but yet it's alot more accurate than syflex in results.

however, i'm very impress with ncloth dynamic in cloth to cloth collisions. cloth in maya has never been so easy to use.
