i done this in the uk with my xbox. Didnt bother with all the changing the sticker crap. Simply made sure that the seals on the new xbox box were not damaged at all and put the faulty one back in the new box. My tip is to do it at a busy shop and put a little super glue on the seal so that when they try to open it it starts to rip. They normally leave them alone and take your word for it. It worked for me!!!!

The reason you switch the case is because chances are yours looks a little worn. If you mess up the sticker your SOL. Also another good thing about this is that if you had a 20GB hard drive you could also use a torque 6 bit and switch it out for a 120GB hard drive. If you are going to break the law you should go all the way. To make the old HD unreadable simply take a marker and go over the metal parts that are used to plug the HD into the nifty case MS provides so that you have to use their HDs
