I own a Schecter C-1 Blackjack, with the same color but 25.5 scale. Its pretty much the same guitar, really. its the sickest fucking guitar I ever played, I actually prefer it to a USA RR1 Rhoads. I only assume that this neck shape cant be too much different, just obviously accustomed for a 7 string haha.

Yea man, write something that is far to difficult for you to play, and i mean something thats all over the place, it doesn't have to sound any good, i just stuck some notes on the note that involved me jumping around and skipping a lot, then play it at a speed you can handle and work it up, i know it sounds basic but it worked for me, good luck bro :)

With a 26.5" you should be able to pull off G-Standard dropped to F with little problem.

D'addario EXL110-7 string packets, its 10-59, they're perfect for me, i love the beefy bottom strings but not too light on the highs. they stay in tune and sound great for ages!

hellraiser is a lot better and other differences are;

-EMG 707 TW p/ups

-gothic cross inlays

-2 volume knobs w/ coil tap and tone knob

-comes in red w/ abalone binding, white w/ abalone, or black with gray pearl

-schecter locking tuners

There is the Blackjack C-7 and the BlackJack ATX C-7.

I would say the ATX is better then the hellraiser simply because if you are going with actives, you might as well go with blackouts. That being said some people probably like EMG 707s better then blackouts.

The regular Blackjack C-7 has passive seymour duncan pickups (JB/59) and also a maple neck vs the mahogany neck of the others.

Hellraiser has Extra-Jumbo frets and coil taps for the pickups.

All three guitars have locking tuners.

tbh it is quite thick, lots of people are put off schecter because of the width of the necks but honestly i have tiny little hands as you can probably tell from the video anyways and i think its so comfortable to play it doesn't even matter, ibanez are probably thinner if your looking for a 7 but i'd go for schecter anyday over ibanez for a 7, their necks are just super comfortable to play. look at jeff loomis :)

I personally love the feel of this neck and i've got little hands, it is a bit bulky compared to the ibanez wizard necks but that doesn't bother me, look at forums and you'll find a lot of people think the same, its thick but so comfortable you cant really tell, and yea shredding on it is a dream, look at jeff loomis, he uses schecter, and he's a master of the fretboard, they're an awesome guitar to get hold of man, i suggest it to anyone looking into a 7 string :)

palm mute the low B (or E if you're on a six string), then simply chug away at as fast a clip as you can without losing time. then once you reach that speed, continue picking as long as you can. your picking forearm and wrist will start to burn due to lactic acid buildup, but play through it and your muscles will develop quicker, allowing you to play much faster
