Very Good advice. I'm 16 and tons of guys from the IBM have already gave me a few shows because Im better at sleight of hand then they are. to me the BEST way of going pro is Restaurant Magic. 2-3 restaurants a week will make you plenty of money.
Jacob yes you can actully make money doing magic if magic is what you do that is if its a hobby to you that's fine but if it's a goal of yours to be like that of Criss Angel ,David Blaine even better You can choose to work a job 9-5 5 days a week or more and be an unknown to everybody or do what you love for less time make more money.and establish a name for yourself making it however big you want it you just got to go for it.
Great advice. I'm 13 years old and just started doing paid performances (it took me a few years to realize i could make money off of my performances...yes i'm very smart :) and i found working with another magician definitely helped me learn crowd management if nothing else.
