I agree! Wayy too square. This band needs some soul and feeling.... Good sax player, but I found myself wanting more feeling. This is too beautiful of a piece to be read note per note time by time.
Ahh, God love the Craig Skeffington arrangement, My Jazz band director was one the who commissioned it. Very good job by the Alto, though at times it was rushed, but not by him, but by the band. Other then that it could've used it little bit more volume from the drummer. Overall hard piece accomplished.
I hope you know you're not supposed to actually READ the music, right?
