The cops are a mob of brutalizing, murdering rednecks brought in from the outlying areas of Oregon, and they are almost never held accountable by the city government. Portland's mayor, Tom Potter, is the former chief of police, and he is probably the biggest bullying goon of all. Also, the city transit drivers terrorize other drivers on the road, and are never held accountable. Portland is FAR from being some "ideal city".
