Wow, honoured and thanks.. but this is truly a random, crazy slide-show - compared to the amazing performances you obviously create and not to mention the powerful mission and causes you have. You've got my support!
yeah unfortunately, those are pretty prevalent smudges all across the googlesky. At first when i started seeing those i was like whoa, what the hey are these babies!?! :)
But they are all over the dang map. For example, one can see dozens of Racoon eye forms in one particular section built on those smudges.
I actually discount my 'stealth alien ships and the space elf, on account of smudges', but the tunnel is still a ? mark.
Thanks Third - yeah i had a lil fun with it. My first one ever made actually. I'll tell you, the one image I'm truly curious about though is the space tunnel object. It's the most defined and peculiar, imo. The others are random cool faces (as viewing clouds) or google sky smudges.
OK, I had some fun saving the 'obscure objects', but the "Space-tunnel" is very interesting imo. That is not abstract hole in gas or gas formation. That is precise in dimension and form. If you have astronomical backround, please provide insight on this. Thanks!
Seems to me very easily identifiable space objects, nebulae, nova remnants.

I've never used Google sky before -- this is amazing. I'll have to check it out now.

Strange telephone :D
But it definetely looks like the Asteroid belt, not sure if it's the far one or the close one. It seems to end when you go both directions though.
Those 2 huge blobs of rocks is very strange though :O

everything you saw is on the Google.sky entire sky download (from Hubble et al)
I did this compilation for fun, but sure I was fascinated by some of the things you could find in random deep space searches.
Don't know if they are mere pixel abnormalities or some amazing objects NASA will not reveal.
