Excellent work. Inspite of my little knowledge on Carnatic music your video very clearly highlighted the brilliance of maestro and his genius. Being a big fan of Illayaraja i wish you all the goods in all your endeavours for such a nice contribution. great job.
@Girishjeganathan I have posted on Nalinakanthi usage by the Meastro and a rare scale for the song Thogai Ilamayil. Thanks a lot for stopping by and for your kind words of appreciation. I also have done some improvs on my Muziboo channels on Maestro's compositions.
Arun anna ! That was fantastic ! Had a lot more information than the one in muziboo ! Just about started to get a grip of the terminologies ! Please do more of this ! Just amazed at your absolute love and passion for music and Raaja sir !
Fantastic... so fascinating to hear the analysis on this great work by Ilaiyaraja. It's so edifying to get such deep insights. Raaja shows us his versatility in all areas - swaram, thaalam, orchestration, etc.
Your singing is really good, of I must add. The gamakams are sung clearly and with control. The sangathis were great to hear.
It's very satisfying to get a deeper appreciation of this work. Thank you.
@HailBG When the nature of work is such, then it calls for a closer look and then you find that it is a masterpiece! Although the sahityam is not by Ilaiyaraaja, the grammar that he has stuck to is a clear tribute to the Indian Classical composers of yore. That no one else has attempted such a thing in cine field is remarkable. The melody and arrangement just infuses divinity into our whole being. Such is the power of Maestro's music.
Dissection, Analysis, originality and imagination - all at once and all at its best..
3:24 to 3:43 is a terrific spontaneous illustration.
Kalpana swarams are indeed enthralling.. As much as knowledge, it takes some grit to attempt something like this and that attitude of yours needs to be saluted.
Your closing remarks are very well articulated thoughts..
