Amazing stuff! I've a question though, which version is this? I'm considering getting After Effects in the Future, but I recently found out CS5 is only for 64 bit Vista etc. Would you recommend CS4?

@ShockyD Thanks, I am using CS4 at the moment. You don't really need to get CS5 unless you see yourself doing lots of rotoscoping in which case its Rotoscope tool becomes really useful.

@kssproductions05 Yeah, that was definitely a pain to do. I think I started with the advanced sky replacement tutorial from Video Copilot and then rotoscoped out all of the rest by hand. Probably could have been a lot easier with AE 5's new rotoscope tool X /

@leafblowinSK8 Thanks, it is actually fairly simple (but took forever to render :P). I got a really high resolution satellite image of the earth and photoshopped it to look as it does in the video. Next I did all of the animation that appears on the surface of the map (such as the red line and spreading pictures), then pre-composed it into a composition that had CC Sphere applied on it. This allowed me to rotate around it like a globe :)

Also how did you add the animation to the pics when the red line stops an the pictures appear, they evolve from one point and fades in by increasing in size like a oval, and how did you make only some of the map appear at the same time as the pic, Did yu use a mask? or??? :)

@leafblowinSK8 For that I think I used a high contrast grunge texture that was revealed over time by an animated mask. I then used that as an luma matte TrkMat for the photographs... Once again it has been a while, but that Is what I think I did.

Funny you say that. The film with all the gore and guns is actually supposed to comment on that same topic. It is a parody on films like the Bourne/Tom Clancy like stories.

The full movie with all of the violent gun-play will be out in a few days, hopefully. We didn't create it, just did most of the special effects for it. But we'll try to upload it to our YouTube account when we can. As for everything else, they are random effect scenes we made for all the movies we currently have on our account, so check them out =) Also, if you are the Connor I am thinking of, hello!
