  • The GI Bill, one of the best things the gov't ever did, was designed to give the returning servicemen something to do besides going berserk. The post-WW1 recession was fresh in everyone's mind and there was no way of predicting the long boom (1946-1973) that America was to enjoy before the oil scam.

  • It's a shame we don't see clips like this that are not only funny, but makes a very serious point as well. Looks like this type of material died with those who starred in them.
