  • Really enjoyed this video. Thanks.

  • Very informative thank you!! I also almost spit out my drink when I saw the "to gay" ? pop up. hahah

  • Good wok man, going into details on the synthesis stuff is really good- I didn't realise it wasn't that hard. Beats grabbing vengeance samples everytime. I recommend taking the ramble alert off, because I didn't watch it the other day for that reason. I have seen much worse ramblers.

  • great video - many thanks

do you know if logic has a sampling instrument other than ultrabeat? by that i mean, can you put a sound into it and play a range of different notes on a keyboard of the same sound?

    cheers

  • @sksharmafourteen ESX24. You've probably found your answer now though, considering this was asked 6 months ago :p

  • this song makes me think of you, Randomer - Synth Geek

  • Really cool vid man thanks!

  • nice, informative vid - thanks

  • howd you make your website? its pretty awesome!

  • hahaha... you're good dude. :) good to see the standard logic plugins being used.. i dont use mine enough!

  • awesome Video,, Do u have any tutoriails on Space designer and Sculpture???

  • nice one mate

  • Hey Man! Tracks sounding nice. ill love to have the project dl and try and do a remix if u wanna get it out. Peace!

  • I love this vid, I learned a lot thx. I also purchased your ES2 vid it's AWSOME!!!

I have one request. Can you make a vid showing us the process of making a progressive or house track; that would be boss.

    Thanks,

    Djed19

  • This would be great with some quiet female vocals.

  • Hey. I've been trying to figure this out but cant seem to do it. It is so hard to click and record every key i want just from the piano roll. How do i make it so that my keyboard keys make a sound. Do you get what I'm saying? So i dont have to click each one on the piano roll.

  • @c25ole Put CAPS Lock on. Now your computer keyboard can play notes! Also, the numbers 1-9 will change which octave your keyboard covers.

  • @soundsLogical ty very much. but on some videos, i saw a little extra piano roll but it had letters that related to notes. any ideas?

  • @soundsLogical NVM. IM AN IDIOT. THANKS FOR THE HELP.

  • Inspiring as always. Cheers for always concentrating on musicality

  • is the rodes sample from the apple loop library. you should make a madd chill beat in a section of the song using the snare from the "Amen Break". and a little like slowww drumb and bass type thing. i would love to download this project and do some work on it! great job!!

  • you should probably give it a relaxing atmosphere, some build ups and stuff. ;) i would totally put it on my playlist for non-dance electro. :)

  • really nice tutorial , good track

  • how do you reverse the rhodes samples? I cant work it out... :(

  • @QwasiMusic double click sample to bring up sample editor, then "functions > reverse". Afk so that might not be 100% correct.

  • @soundsLogical thanks!

  • Man, you sound as perfectionist as me :D

I have to say that these 'shooting from the hip' videos are better in a way that they are more kinda' easy listening. Perfect 10-20 minutes with my morning coffee!

  • There are only two things to do with this track -> finish it -> then get it signed :) Seriously, great work. Nice use of the reverse rhodes as well

  • Nice tutorial! As for the track, maybe expand it a bit with a jumpy saw bassline (with swung sixteenths)? I don't know haha.

  • @surf982 There is a bug where it sometimes cuts off the transient of samples. That's not a problem when you're synthesising your own sounds though. EXS24 can't do that :)

  • wicked track!!

  • Great! thanks for all the tips! defo gonna try and use these techniques!

  • Lol "to gay". The tracks nice I like it a lot. I'm probably 100% worse then you are at abandoning tracks. I can't even count how many songs are just lying around unfinished. Anyways thanks for the tips bro peace! (ps I don't have any ideas for the rest of the track because I think it sounds great as it is!)

  • I'm so glad I'm not alone in abandoning songs x.x I'm awful for it. Also, you should try mixing reversed rhodes with reversed piano playing countermelodies, I did it for one of my tracks. Cut off the low end of the piano, it sounds really atmospheric and warm, would suit the track later on.

  • @serfox1 Cool, I'll give it a try, sounds nice!
