  • I've not heard many songs by Leonard Cohen, but i checked out the original before i watched your video. What a beautiful song, a perfect cover my friend. 5* and a favourite.

    Duncan

  • Thanks Duncan :)

Cohen is a brilliant poet that became a musician. I believe him to be the master of the written word. This song in particular has an amazing lyric IMO.

BTW - great song that you & Ron put together, Teledude1972 and I are working on our first one as well.Best regards, Jack

  • hi jack

great rendition of a super song

  • Once again, nice work Jack!

  • " .... And who are you? she sternly spoke

To the one beneath the smoke.

    Why, I'm fire, he replied,

And I love your solitude, I love your pride.

    ....

    And then she clearly understood

If he was fire, oh then she must be wood."

  • These lyrics are so powerful..

    so very.. strong..

What a man to ponder them, to write them

    Leonard Cohen, what a mind

Your voice.. retelling this tale, most hauntingly beautiful.

    thank you

    *sheri*

  • This was witten by Andy McCluskey not Leonard Cohen.

  • Beautiful rendition! Sung soulfully and very cleanly played.
