Thank you for the people who believe the REAL story. He's my distant cousin . News travels through the family. I actually know what happened . He didn't touch Marilyn. So fuck off haters.
He sent Marilyn 6 roses 3 times a week for over 20 yrs... until he died on 1999 :( he truly did love her just he was a bit jealous who wouldnt be? everyone looking at his wife and saying bad comments but he didnt beat her watch documentaries.!!! she really loved him you could tell when they interview her about the divorce with dimaggio
@TheMarkc yeah i read about that, he was a scumbag who couldn't control his jealousy when other guys were checking her out. anyone who thinks its ok that he used to beat her is well ermmm wrong!!
@TheMarkc yeah, you're right. its not nice at all when you think about what people put her through. she didn't deserve it, but men just seemed to take advantage of her. apparently she liked being around kids, necause they were the only one#es who loved her for who she was
The marriage lasted less than a year...though they continued to be close and fond of each other, having sporadic contact up until her premature demise.
Joe DiMaggio had 361 career home runs, a 56 game hitting streak, and was a 13 time All Star. Now, which one of those achievements qualifies him as an authority on coffee makers?
Well, come to think of it, how many celebrities are "experts" in regards to most of the wares they hawk? Very few, I'd venture to say. I fondly recall these Mr Coffee commercials from the 70's but I've never bought a product just because a celebrity I liked endorsed it. Guess the advertising people feel otherwise! Thanks for your comment! :)
In 1973, he won a Mr.Coffee machine at a golf tournament-this was before they were released to the public. The machine was an innovation and Joe loved it(although he couldn't use it on a regular basis as he had a bleeding ulcer,so he often drank decaf sanka) later that year, before the national release of the product, he was contacted by it's creator, they met for dinner in San Fransisco to discuss Joe becoming the face of the franchise, which he was for 15 years.
The era when everything had at least a touch of wood paneling. I wonder if he dunked his donuts?

I want one of those old Mr. Coffee machines if I can find one in good working order. Why? Honestly, because of the fake woodgrain on the front.
