Chris -- your vibrato is gorgeous. You tone blossoms when you use it. Don't straight tone so much in this song. Sing it legit and it will sound awesome.
Singing too "legit" in music theater and pop can sound kind of lame and contrived - that's the catch 22 with it, when people who have legit voices try to sing this stuff with their legit voice - it makes it sound NOT LEGIT. Gotta be careful with that.
Very true -- not saying you should sing pop like it's Verdi -- it's a fine line, and you get to make these choices as an artist. If it were me, I would play around with letting more air move through your held notes -- record it and see for yourself. I think you'll get more ring and height in your tone without it sounding contrived. ;)
