  • haha damn i wish i woulda went. He in my hometown! s*** but Lg more. so idk.....GO OBAMA!!

  • YEEEE MANN HES IN OUR TRIBEEE NOWW!!! dang i cant believe i missed that we couldnt make it home that soon....

  • hi...wuaw! I wish he will win!

  • Please don't lie to us Obama...please. The first thing you can do as Prez is free Leonard Peltier! Be the first in Washington who has the guts to do what is right not just please those with power and money and not help those who need...especially native americans- the most disadvantage minority in the US. We have been ignored for far too long. Will you be the one to really change?

  • That's my town! Go Obama!

  • shit thats my home town too!im from Crow n L.G. im a Little Light from L.G.

  • Wow Im so mad that I wasnt home when this happened!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • whoo hoo to obama hopefully he wins even thou im from canada. i think its impotant as neighbours to pay attention to my indigenous bro n sista in the usa...

  • I agree

  • Congratulations, Sen. Obama!

This is the first time I've seen a presidential candidate campaigning for the votes of Indian tribes. I'm glad he won Montana.

    ***************************

Montana is a very beautiful state. A wonderful place for a summer vacation. Check out Montana if you ever get a chance. It's a wonderful place.

  • I feel proud for the first time to vote for a president that can truly relate to us! This is an AMAZING MAN!! Representing the Pomo Nation in California

  • Good Luck,Barack Obama!!

  • What other candidate in recent history have met with Tribal Nations? None. This man cares about all people of America. We will never know if he means what he says, unless we elect him President Of the USA.

  • Bill Clinton met with Tribal leaders in 1995.

  • You think McCain comes closer to walking a day in your shoes, spendex1? Obama has more in common with more Americans than any Presidential candidate in the history of the nation.

  • damn. ya'll see that big head @ 1:17

:P . haha. just playin jr

  • spendex1 why do you say someone wrote that for him? Were you there? Why make those type of statements? Listen to him, then listen to the other candidates, if they come to the tribes, then after you listen to them, then you judge. Don't judge before you know, that's being blindly lead by probably the conservative talk shows and news programs. Come on, let's help this man to help us. This is not about him, it's about America.

  • Get out and ROCK the Vote for Change!

Obama is the only candidate who has ever truly addressed and promised to represent Native American Indians and it's about time!

He's also the only one who has promised to close the concentration camps and get us out of Iraq as well! Vote Obama! Future generations to come will Thank You.

We Can Change! Yes We Can! ~Peace

  • Yeah, I like him too. hope he makes it to the White House.

  • i heard the blackhawks adopted obama

  • he seems sincere, I truly hope he comes through.... he's got my vite!

  • WE ALL KNOW THAT HARDTIMES ARE COMING,HIGH GAS PRICES,FOOD,EVERYTHING IS COMING UP.HOWEVER,LISTENING TO Obama he makes me feelthat if we stand together as a nation we will pull thru it all.

  • Where does he stand on the Cherokee termination issue?

  • Obama is the MAN!

  • Barak is the Man! My aunt in Pine Ridge said she wishes he would go down there and make a speech like that! "TREATY COMMITMENTS ARE PARAMOUNT LAW" Barak is the forken MAN! Finally a top shelf politician who understands that the treaties with the Indians are the Supreme Power of the Land! no matter what tribe or band they were made with! Right on Obama! You got my vote!

  • someone wrote that for him, come on people he's not for real. black or not he hasn't walked a day in our shoes. if what he says is true then great, if not we better goto school get an education and start depending on the gov.

  • What bull is this?

"he hasn't walked a day in our shoes"

Dude, his family wasn't rich, he got into Harvard on a scholarship and after worked as a community organizer. He didn't have any real money until AFTER he wrote his 2nd book.

  • did they? How do you know? Are you on his campaign staff?

Everyone has speechwriters - so what? The candidate sets the tone of the message. The basic message here is to proactively work with this group. Once the speech is made - the movement begins and is supported if you bother to check Obama's posted issues. So, you can either discount it out-of-hand if you want (perhaps because you've already made up your mind) or you can determine whether this message would likely fit Obama's approach.

  • They write based on what he intends to say

  • Will he go back on his word and forget the Crow people once he is in office?

  • And Hillary and McCain wont?

  • I believe he will meet every year with native american leaders and it will be up to the people to hold him accountable

  • That is his gift. He builds coalitions with the forgotten population which together make up a tremendous voting block. When do you ever hear anybody say they are going after the Native American vote. For all the places that won't vote for him, Obama will find another part of the population who will. God Bless Him.

  • There my brother Don in the background!

  • i was there... I shuck his hand

  • Cool.

  • Shook!

  • "Our government has not always been honest or truthful in our dealings" and "I believe treaty commitments are paramount law, I'll fulfill those commitments as President of the Unites States".... Does that mean fulfilling past broken treaty commitments? If so, that's one tall order, and you got my vote Brother. I don't like everything about you, your stance on Gay Marriage is wishy washy, and does not reflect equal rights or separation of church and state, but, nobody's perfect.

  • Theres Ada B. standing right behind Barack!

  • I'm sorry to say this but OBAMA reminds me too much of JFK. Despite JFK's personal problems when he speaks everyone listens to him and OBAMA is like that. That's not a bad thing, but unfortunately it attracts a lot of potential haters. I predict that Obama will win the democratic nominee for presidency, but tragicaly something will happen to him, and then Hilary will step-up and do battle with MR. Mccain.

  • We shall continue pray for God to protect him and th secret service to do their job.

  • I like how Obama includes all people.

  • This is the most heartfelt, genuine tribute given to the 'real' Americans. It is about time that a President (candidate) acknowledges publically the horrendous wrongs committed to the native tribes. Listening to Obama is so moving. It makes me want to return to the States, and to give my best to this Country with so much potential, and having record opportunities to be all we can be and to make a meaningful difference.

  • An Indian chief named Barack, Black Eagle!

  • All too long we have failed the Native Americans. If we would have learned to live in harmony with them we would not have trashed our land as we have done. American should be ashamed of how we have treated our Native brothers I hope Obama helps make great changes for your nation.

  • GOOD LUCK OBAMA ! greetings from Germany / Berlin

  • I would vote obama coz he has been through the struggles which most of us face....

  • can you imagine what people in other countries think of america after the bush administration.. it is embarrassing. we need a leader like obama who uses diplomacy instead of terror tactics.

    obama 08

  • bravo!

now all we need is a clear majority of decent humans in congress to work with him.

  • I want to know how come Hilary CLinton wont come to Montana reservations and meet with tribal leaders??? Obama has been here twice and Clinton zero...very sad for her... OBAMA WILL GET MY VOTE!!!

  • B/c she doesn't care about you unless you will vote for her. Her and Obama, except the issues, are polar opposites (+ & -). Go Obama 2008/2012!!!!

  • Can Obama be too good to be true? It just would be so amazing to have a president who actually gives a shit about Americans and THEIR interests. I hope he wins the White House.

  • not even american, but obama makes me have hope for america. it is what you need people!

  • Our nation became just a little bit better with Barack's adoption.

  • I am a student in england and i donot know much about american politics but i think this man is a great leader of future.

    **Support Obama**

    **support change**!

  • This country needs change. Obama is going to be the next president.

  • It is time for change in this country. Obama for President in '08

  • For the first time in history a man of color shall lead us. Since he is supported by everyday people like me. (Yes, I sent him lots of money) he owes nothing to any corporation or PAC (political action committee) or lobbyist. All presidents of the past took the bribes, promised us everything and delivered nothing. Not this time. Not this man. Trust what you hear because he has no reason to lie about his plans.

  • this man fills me with hope

    hope for a better tommorow

    he's got my vote

  • Barack will honor all his promises. GREAT DAY!

  • That is so great. Obama is the one!

  • he is a great patriot. Karl Rove is just a prick

  • When Congress sends his butt to jail he'll learn more about pricks. Go Obama!!!!

  • It is about time Indian Country had a candidate who talks like they understands the speech that has been written. This is a rare opportunity from a person who I think reflects the hope and aspirations of Indian Country, and who experienced what we have, all of his, and all of our lives. He is a brother.

  • as an indian i love how he did this on a rez.

  • The guy embodies everything the US needs in leadership. I'm not an American but if I would be he'd have my vote!!

    Go OBAMA!!!!

  • well i hope to God that Barack does what he says, and he just isn't saying things to get votes!!!

  • Even if he doesn't do all the things he says, we WILL hold him accountable, because his campaign is all about us, and every single one of us here owns the campaign.

Also, it'd be a bit hard to break his promise to the Native Americans. I mean, they ADOPTED him and made him a part of the family. That does NOT happen often. This is very serious, and Senator Obama knows that.

He's capable of bringing things he says he will do into reality. That's what he did in Illinois and in the US Senate.

  • He's been keeping his promises already. Not taking PAC money or lobbyists money. He's been doing it in the Illinois and U.S. senate. He's been consistent. I'm not worried about that.

  • Obama is not about rhetoric, cause what he says he believes and acts upon.

  • I have lived my whole life studying around the world. From Indonesia to Singapore and now in USA. Obama is the first national leader who give such a wonderful speech of hope i ever listen to. As a member of the international community, I support Obama !!!

  • my great gramz invited him in to our family yesturday! :] obama is now my great uncle!

  • Obama will be the first President to support the people, not the special interests.

  • i love him & what he stands for.

he shows courage & integrity everytime he speaks.

    he's honest, kind, and genuine.

    we love you

    Obama 08'

  • i luv it

  • Very nice speeches of Obama who is really a patriotic American. I am so proud to have him my President!I can not wait ..!!

  • He is one of the first candidates to speak on a reservation. This is a huge step in showing how Barack isnt going to leave anybody out in this race. A strong leader is what we need who dosent overlook minoritys! YES WE CAN! Obama 08

  • one of the first Presidential candidates to speak on a reservation in this election or ever?

  • Here's what I don't understand. How could someone not support this man? Listen to what he has to say and the ideas he has for the future of the country and if you're not inspired then there is something seriously wrong.

  • O8AMA!

  • Outstanding. And please, President Obama, appoint a Native Americans to head IHS & BIA.

  • its time for a Obama Presidency now.

  • Barack may be the real deal! One thing for sure, Hilary is the real bad deal! Click on my name to hear why!

  • Thank you Obama! Thank you!

  • RESPECT.

  • No presidential candidate has ever gone there. This shows how genuine and truthfull obama is.AMAZING!!!

  • this shows you how much geniune and truthfull obama is!the first presidential candidate to go there.amazing!

  • Obama is the next FDR for the USA. We need him in the White House. I have waited a lifetime for this man.

  • Nice speech ^^..

  • As a Canadian, I am encouraged to see a candidate such as Obama rising to the top in US politics - his message of hope for the future is refreshing. The only ones who seem to shy away from Obama are those for whom the future seems strange and frightening and who cling to the past - and those who represent the past... I believe the time is ripe for a truly inclusive administration and Barack Obama is the man to lead that administration. He truly embodies the American dream.

  • Let's stick together to get Obama elected. We will be a full partner to help each other.

African Americans and Native Americans with Obama, All the way!!

  • President Barack Obama 2009!

  • obama for president! obama shall take charge of usa!

  • this Man is the only one who can fix all the american problem that we have for century

  • INDIANS ARE THE FIRST AMERICANS!!!

  • Yeah man This Makes Me even More Proud To be Native American as well as Black

  • Thank you Barack Obama!

  • This is soooo TRUE. Our goverment does not have a working relationship with our Native American Tribes in this country.

  • I'm only 1 person.

    But I'm with Obama.

  • Thats right! His not going to sit there in the white house like what Bush is doing, he his totally naive and out of touch with the country. And so will hillary and mccain.

  • I HOPE to God this man wins the Presidency.

  • Brillance!

  • This is a great video.thanks for posting it.

  • It would be Change if just one of the Treaties was honored!....go Barack...!

  • Black Eagle is a man we can trust. Is the only person in the recent history with a compassion and warmth that is unprecedental.

    Barking Dog

  • Stop the Hate! Obama 08! & We Can't Wait!!

    PEACE TO ALL.

  • go barack obama! you just have to win!

  • OBAMA 08

  • Man... If we as a nation Do Not elect Barack Obama to be our leader, then the rest of the world will never forgive us.

    Obama 2008 & 2012 !!

  • Did he say "the nations all across this COUNTRY"? hahaha

Yet another reason to vote for Obama, he's actually HUMAN.

  • I can't believe that we don't already have a Native American appointee in the White House... This is Change we can Believe in, this is Change we HAVE to Believe in!! Yes We Can!

  • I also can't believe this hasn't been done. It's wonderful that Obama is taking care of this.

  • obma is great persnadal

  • The only candidate speaking to, about, and for Native Americans.

  • Amen...He is the best thing for this great nation!

  • right on Obama

  • Seeing this really made me tear up in pride, and in joy, that the man I support for being the Democratic Nominee for President has thought of people whom all others have seemed to ignore.

    President Black Eagle in 2008!!!

  • brack ftw!!!!!!1

  • go obama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Vote OBAMA, Montana!!!

  • An outstanding speech delivered by our next President to a nation of individual that is the core of America's sole.

  • its funny. its like the natives dont understand what hes saying. they keep on getting the timing of the cheers wrong..

  • first comment.

  • Three words everyone:

    President Barack Obama

It gives me goosebumps thinking about it!

  • i never thought i'd see anyone speak so freely in america.

  • That was a beautiful speech.

I hope Obama helps the native Americans as much as he can.

    God Bless America !!

    Thank you, Obama !!

  • I have never payed attention to an election this much before, and from what I see....

Obama IS Change We Can Believe In

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!! OBAMA 08!!

  • I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. The love for this good man is astounding.

  • To the Administrations of Barack Obama,

I just wanted to let you know that Obama said "Indian Policy" at 1.25 of the video. I think that was a little bit offensive. Please tell Obama to mention his mistake as a "mispoke." I do not want Mccain to use that against him.

    Thank you

    Jake Wong
