  • Of course he's a beast and a asian.

  • Reminds me of the time G12 performed life in Conan O'Brien's show and 50 cent was not there. Maybe Lounge Lizards is more like a concept or a state of mind rather than a band which is dependant of it's members. Think about this philosophical question: is Ramones still Ramones if there's not a single member the same as when they started? Or could we say that you are the same person as you were when you were born, if you don't have a single atom that is the same as 10 years ago?

  • Who in the bejesus?

  • I hate trombone solos lol

  • Where's Malc Libot?

  • listen Crazy funky by minicillo

  • changer ya name, you will never ever ever be as good as john lurie

  • good job guys!..but what's with the name of the band?Lounge Lizards???...come on...

  • yep, i see you guys trying to be like Lurie's Lounge Lizards, and good luck for ya, but please change the name bacause you mislead people.

  • Change the name.

Lounge Lizards have plenty of recordings out.

  • Great sound dudes. Keep on playing!

  • buen sonido exelente

  • Should have had more bass..

  • Man, y'all gots to get some more horns if you want to play this song to greater effect. 'Bone guy is fantastic, but to get the maximum, you need, at least, a real sax and trumpet to go with the bone. BTW, I'm a student of Pee Wee Ellis'.

  • Cool performance but they might want to consider a different name. Something that hasn't been used already, maybe.

  • it doesnt sound funky enough ....

  • aww weak

  • nice. i love the sound you;re able to get out of a large bore. props man.

  • Wow, John Lurie looks really Asian here and his sax looks kinda like a trombone. Hmmm. Guess I just never noticed.

  • IThis isnt the Longe Lizards/

    How they are ??

  • Hey. I like your sound. much rounder and nicer than the usual loud rythmictrombone sound. Nice to hear somebody got it right.

  • I love the thing he does with his tongue at the turn around where he does syncopations. Great solo all and all, the bass player needs to learn how to slap properly. But really good performance, Great rendition on the trombone part.

  • great! i should travel wherever you are and congratulate you personally!

  • rofl...damn...lay off the kid...good job but the question is...can you solo like that? lolz

  • Very tight. Better than 99% of the jazz bands I see live in the midwest.

  • I liked it!

    good preformence.

but i like it better whit a whole Big Band

  • very tight, very nice

  • your bull frogging man your not suppose to blow up your cheeks when you play

  • lol say that to dizzy gillespie..

  • great job!

very tight, and i love how you took the original, loud funk version and just made it chill. very well done.

  • nice job

  • u need practise men:))

  • We have the same bone! Bach 42+Thayer valve!

  • nice stuff guys. It's funny, every group I ever heard play this tune rushes that last lick before the turnaround. Gotta watch out for that.

  • i play trombone but. not like that!!!sweet

  • ooooh... I wish I could play my trombone like that!

  • Ermmmm... This isn't Gregg Bissonette's "Marbles". The person who played this piece first was Jaco Pastorius, and the tune was really called The Chicken. And Lounge Lizards isn't a copyrighted name nor should racist bias play a part in this. Btw if you can't tell where they're from, don't act smart. They're not jap.

  • I appreciate you putting ignorant son of a gun in his place. And regardless of who did what first, music is about expression and if you want to take a song and redo it in your own way (especially in jazz) then by all means do it. Great job guys. I would look into a lighter (brighter sounding) trombone to do small combo work. Again, sounds good.

  • Quailty !!!

  • very nice trombone feature! nice balance and clean sound.

  • The real Lounge Lizards are portentous. This is a fu**ing band for a bar.

  • For the REAL Lounge Lizards :

    http://www.ejn.it/mus/lurie.htm

  • my band played this for our concert n whatnot...obv we sounded fuller n all that but this is good 4 a three person band... brought back memories of the chicken, fowl play, chicken soup, etc....good times

  • hey COOL!! I play in a quartet with a lead trombone--so I am very used to hearing trombone solos --you are good. nice sound guys! now you do let the piano solo, too--right?? :) just kidding..

  • yeah, of course. even the bass gets to solo, but then the whole song is almost 10 minutes so i only fitted the trombone solo in. =)

  • of course :) it's your vid, understandable.

  • Keep posting, please!

  • It seeems that you have made a respond to my "Chicken" ..although i donno what is video respond, but still thanks for you!!! Your video is so good!~Hope too see more jazz from you

  • Awesome stuff. Very good playing, I must say.

  • sweet, lead is a trombone.

  • fuck yes good bass finally

  • Wow! You guys are really great! Would love to see and hear more...
