Reminds me of the time G12 performed life in Conan O'Brien's show and 50 cent was not there. Maybe Lounge Lizards is more like a concept or a state of mind rather than a band which is dependant of it's members. Think about this philosophical question: is Ramones still Ramones if there's not a single member the same as when they started? Or could we say that you are the same person as you were when you were born, if you don't have a single atom that is the same as 10 years ago?
Man, y'all gots to get some more horns if you want to play this song to greater effect. 'Bone guy is fantastic, but to get the maximum, you need, at least, a real sax and trumpet to go with the bone. BTW, I'm a student of Pee Wee Ellis'.
I love the thing he does with his tongue at the turn around where he does syncopations. Great solo all and all, the bass player needs to learn how to slap properly. But really good performance, Great rendition on the trombone part.
Ermmmm... This isn't Gregg Bissonette's "Marbles". The person who played this piece first was Jaco Pastorius, and the tune was really called The Chicken. And Lounge Lizards isn't a copyrighted name nor should racist bias play a part in this. Btw if you can't tell where they're from, don't act smart. They're not jap.
I appreciate you putting ignorant son of a gun in his place. And regardless of who did what first, music is about expression and if you want to take a song and redo it in your own way (especially in jazz) then by all means do it. Great job guys. I would look into a lighter (brighter sounding) trombone to do small combo work. Again, sounds good.
my band played this for our concert n whatnot...obv we sounded fuller n all that but this is good 4 a three person band... brought back memories of the chicken, fowl play, chicken soup, etc....good times
hey COOL!! I play in a quartet with a lead trombone--so I am very used to hearing trombone solos --you are good. nice sound guys! now you do let the piano solo, too--right?? :) just kidding..

Cool performance but they might want to consider a different name. Something that hasn't been used already, maybe.
