We just came back from South Africa ( in a beautifull place called 'Wildebees lodge') and had a Rainspider in our shower. Is scared the h*ll of the kids. A kind neighbour cought it in a friendly way: in a towel and than taking it outside.
This type of spider always seems to be crawling across my ceiling and always seems to jump on me...Luckily im not scared of spiders....But for some reason they always jump strait down off my ceiling...lol
i heard about this earlier, this south african guy was telling me that the spider is attracted to heat and particularly body heat and it's likely to wake up to one cuddling up to you in bed. well maybe not cuddling. but they are almost like "nice" and "friendly" spiders...
@snipeyonuts23 nah brah they are in other countries like Australia and New Zealand. Their correct name is huntsman spiders and we only call them rain spiders in SA. I havnt been to aussie but i think they grow even bigger there!
i hate those things. when i used to live in sa theyd come in from time to time and poor me would shit myself and run away crying. not poisonous but theyre fucking huuuge
I went to SA last year, and was staying in a tent...I had one of these above my head but thankfully it wasn't as big as that one... it was probably the circumference of a mug. Still....scared the hell out of me! I'm terrified of spiders!!!!
i had one very similar in my room. a bit smaller and the legs appeared more slender. sadly we had to dyant it to take it outside (they move so fast) but it appeared to have survived
I don't get it, Thats not scary. And i'm not dissing you for your vid, I just don't see whats so scary about it, it aint that big, it not much bigger than the huntsman spiders we get here in South Australia.
i was in SA for 3 weeks recently and we met a fair few rain spiders, it can be quite unnerving when u wake up every morning with a huge rain spider on the roof of your tent! i have no idea howthey got in!
