The one other time it is used, is on Mt Sinai, the voice of God Himself. one who does not have the Hebrew words, can only see the simple translation of English.

It's not that we do not believe in the rapture - it's that we don't believe in a SECRET RAPTURE. Jesus said in Matthew 24 that it will definitely NOT be secret. He also tells us the man of sin will be revealed before then. I believe Jesus before I will believe Chuck Smith or Perry or another other human being. Jesus' words trump man's words. When I gave my life to Jesus I knew what I signed up for: tribulation, suffering, persecution and to be hated because they hated Christ first.

Oh my goodness. Everyone believes there is a catching away, the dispute is WHEN. I personally have never believed in the pre-trib rapture because I cannot find it in the Bible, just in doctrines of man. And I agree it has made the Church lazy and ineffective which means that we must have tribulation to get our hearts and passions back to Jesus. God chastises those he loves and scourges every son he receives. Therefore, I welcome his chastisement. It is how he prepares us.
