  • M3 of A is C#

    P4 of A is D

    Good vid tho, ty

  • I think Dave Mustaine uses these scales too... Does anyone agree?

  • @Toca91 Mustaine uses more pentatonics, but he uses these as well.

  • the major thir of a is c sharp buddy

  • too bad you've killed you pinky..

  • The major third of 'A' is 'C Sharp' not 'D'.

  • 4 years??thats it? again I say WTF?!!

  • actually is the riff from 00:15 to 00:24 part of a song or did u write it?

  • Improvised.

  • can u make tabs?

  • Just listen and look how it goes

  • If you know your scales then you wouldn't need tablature...

    Get to studying buddy ;D

  • that's what i'm sayin

  • how do you guys simply know the scales? i mean you gotta learn them from somewhere, do you use a website that has all the scales there or what? if so whats the website?

  • Well you can find them off websites, but what you want to know is it's theory.

It's all about intervals. You can look up the 'idea' of scales and keys and how they work on alot of sites. But let's cut to the chase.

Search in google "All guitar chords". There's a site that lays down a picture of a fretboard, and the notes are place on the frets, showing you a specific scale and what scale lies within them :-)

First, you should start with the C major or A minor scale. They have no flats/sharps.

  • I find its best to pay for extaordinarly expensive 1 on 1 lessons. if thats not an option then look at what miketheguy00 has to say

  • @godofwarc93 i know it sounds like Ra- do you call my name

  • sounds like do you call my name by ra but its different@godofwarc93

  • can u make tabs for the riff u played in the beginning?

  • C# = Db douche.

  • Did you say the Major 3rd of A is D? Major 3rd of A is a C#.

  • Yes he did say it was D. And your right it is C# or Db. Also modes do not have relative scales. Scales have relative scales.

  • self taught. that's great, how long you've been playing?

  • Around 4 years now

  • yeah great lessons.....i was surprised (though not anti!) the way u didnt use your pinky for the dimished run...it feels more natural to do that myself..but im not saying its more right...

  • I'm mostly self-taught, so I never paid attention to my picking. And most stuff I play I pick them differently than most people. I use a crappy Stagg amplifier and a Zoom G7.1ut pedal board.

  • Self taught is best! That's an awesome sound for a cheap amp man.

  • you actually you use an odd picking patttern, most people would use a downstroke on the g string I think. amazing tone, what equipment do you use to get such a tone at low volume?
