Hard to tell about the actual performance... sounds like you sped up after the shot of the dash. That boat should cruise at 23-25 and top out at 33ish @ 4600ish rpm.

I've got a 290 as well; a black '06 w/5.0 mags and B3's... it's cool but I definitely like the older ones too. Cheers.

wooooow... You're people REALLY have to take a look at your engines. Two Mercruisers? There must seriously be something wrong. I'm not trying to be cheeky, but those enines does NOT give you the power they should. I've drove a 30 foot Bayliner with a 250 hp Mercruiser diesel, and if i had smakced the handle like that on the Bayliner people would get hurt...
