If PLL the show was exactly the same as the books then everyone who has read the books would know everything that was going to happen in each episode. The fact it is kinda different then the books, keeps the viewers interested and guessing in what's gonna happen next...and when people who've read the books say what happened in the books, the fact that the tv show is a little different then the books, keeps people who've read the books from giving away the WHOLE story. *My Opinion!
