  • great video thanks

  • Active transport = Moving substances from an area of lower concentration to an area of higher concentration by using energy!

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SHIT ABOUT >> M Y EXAM IS IN 2 DAYS :L

  • I am just looking at this like: Wait, what is that? Why is it moving? WHAT IS HAPPENING?

  • Thumbs up if you piss on the side of a toilet bowl to make less noise

  • did anyone else read the uoploaders username as 'pornhub' or was it just me lol

  • In this video it looks like the protein changes it's normal form automatically after the transport has been complete but it needs the ATP to dissolve.

It's not incorrect but not entirely true either

  • FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKER SCIENCE SHOULD DIE FUCKING EINSTEIN BITCH MOTHERFUCKER ONLY JUSTIN BIEBER ENJOYS SCIENCE

  • What video is this clip from?

  • think of them as pushing people on a hill. active transport requires energy to transfer molecules from low to high concentration. its like pushing someone up a steep hill, which requires energy. however, diffusion is molecules being transported from high to low, which is like nudging someone down a hill, which doesnt require much energy.

  • @liho123 Ah, thanks for that! Now I can remember easily! Just need to remember your concept of pushing someone up the hill(low to high, active transport, needs energy) and pushing someone down(no energy needed, thus is diffusion, from high to low!) THANKS! XD

  • how vague is this honestly.. hahaha fail

  • In case you didn't understand what he was trying to say: You need energy for the active transport because the proteins transport molecules from lower to higher concentration. Therefore the protein needs ATP(Adenosintriphosphate). So the ATP splits up to ADP or Pi to get energy. The Carrier protein can change it's shape, like you see in the animatino above. When the transport is done, the carrier protein can return to it's original shape. The process can be repeated as long as there is ATP.

  • @mogwai1212 aw i wanted to be the smartass :o (btw i love you, i forgot the name of the band mogwai but now i saw your name and there it was :P)

  • @guyon2342 aww, thanks. <3

  • @guyon2342 awww thanks. <3

I had to learn that all for a test. xD

  • This video is too short. It needs to be more in detail and in depth for a person to understand active transport and ATP.

  • HUH??? i dun understand

  • Nice!

  • once again thank you so much i have exams in 19 days and don't know shit lol

  • tRNA mRNA Proteins glycine phenylketonuria vasodilation chicken curry

  • soooo much more helpful than those old 1980 vids we get in ap bio...

  • Thanks for the help!

    Obrigada

  • thanks this helped me alot

  • what is the name of this dvd

  • this video is so awsome. best 21 seconds of my life ever!!!

  • Facilitated diffusion uses carrier proteins that makes diffusion easier and quicker, that is why it is called FACILitated diffusion. Diffusion is a completely passive event. This is active transport since protein is using energy to transfer molecules from low to high concentration. Diffusion and facilited diffusion transfer from high to low which doesn't require energy.

  • wrong facilitad difusion is a passive event witch is possible with transport proteins .active transport requers energ to move molecules and ions again a concentrstion gradiant

  • not facilitated diffusion cuz facilitated does not require any energy where as this does

  • Noup... this IS active transport

  • u r gay this ain't facilitated diffusion, facilitated diffusion involve simple diffusion, and filration, osmosis. This shit talks about active transport which involve primary and secondary transport bitch dumbass!!

  • This is NOT facilitated diffusion!

Facilitated Diffusion does not use any energy.

  • thats facilitated diffusion not active transport

  • it can be called both

  • the proteins are "pumping," thus using energy. facilitated diffusion is not active transport, as active transport uses energy and facilitated diffusion just allows the molecules to naturally diffuse through the protein channels

  • so in effect what the first person said was wrong

  • not facilitated diffusion

  • those proteins are called CARRIER proteins

  • VERY GOOD

  • wow!!!

  • It is as they say:

Active transport is from lower to higher concentration.

The other way round it would be ordinary diffusion

  • so is it going against the concentration gradient ?

  • Yes, requiring the breakdown of ATP to ADP + Inorganic phosphate releasing energy

  • very catchy

  • No it's right...

  • actually it is right, active transport is the movement against the concentration gradient (from low to high).

That's why it needs energy, it has to work harder.

  • wow. i should see this 2 years ago when im still having bio lessons. damn.

  • hahaha sucks for you!!

  • it looks sooo strange!!!

  • Can you upload the video again!

  • w000t 11th comment

  • Thanks needed this

  • I like how ATP is a little shiny pink light...haha

  • Active transport allows transmitting of substance against its concentration gradient !

  • hey where did u get this videos they ´r really cool, it helped me a lot. where do you get them from??

  • i couldnt understand what he is trying to say

  • best video i have ever seen

    eğlenceli olduğu kadar öğretici

bu videoları ve biyolojiyi çok seviyorum

  • this helped me alot

    thankss

    =)

  • interested

  • u mean interesting?

  • EXXXCELLENT

i am searching this type of videos only

shall i get copy of this
