  • totally awesome their music was way ahead of their time

  • Still, the coolest, most eerie and foreboding riff of all time. The song is an example of the epic masterpieces, written, recorded, and performed by actual musicians who understood melody, harmony, rhythm, and dynamics. Their approach to music was with the same mind set as a Bach, Beethoven, or Mozart yet it was achieved with three or four instruments and a voice or two......amazing. Pure artistic genius.

  • Jason !! Nailed it tooo -- but i am not happy with Robert :(

  • YEAH,JIMI HENDRIX GOT SOME COMPETITION THERE WITH THE WHOLE GUITAR SKILLS AND WHOSE REALLY THE GREATEST GUITARIST OF ALL TIME,IF YA ASK ME!!!JIMMY PAGE IS A COMPLETE MONSTER ON THE GUITAR!!!I THOUGHT I SAW EVERYTHING,WHEN I WATCHED HENDRIX,BUT WOW!!!

  • it is too bad zeppelin live couldn't be as good or even better than judas priest live somehow priest has more ooomph in their live recording than their studio albums .somehow priest has more " balls' on their two album set " judas priest live " but hey both are among the top bands ever with pink floyd and queen ! canadian bands falls second third = usa bands no arging brits are best, usa = fluff

  • @kokanee2010a Do you even know zep ?

  • cant expect junior to carry what his father brought to led zeppelin i can see how jones is trying to lead him there , it certainly is different from the studio release where they have billions of chances ( if needed ) to get it right it isn't what i remember but it is good

  • This would have been real hot if the volume was not screwed up. Too LOUD, and the bass is overwelming. I have it almost down to zero. It gets distorted so it is not worth watching. Need to be reposted with better sound.

  • still one of the heaviest songs ever. metal fans, start your journey with zeppelin

  • I was there .

  • Lucky SOB I Think I'd Shit Myself If I Was There Nevermind That Close!

  • @stretchgilbert yES i kNOW wHAT yOU mEAN

  • He can still use the violin bow :)))))))

  • Page still gots it

  • Best ever get it right. The sound is amazing.

  • how can robert plant still sound so amazing after to many years?? Led Zeppelin is the best

  • will this ever be released on DVD ? :-(

  • led forever *.*

  • good to see jason

  • Page the greatest of all....

  • it was lower pitched weird

  • JP bass sounds like a troll baging down a door its that strong

  • I dont think this woulda been half-as-good if Plant hadn't started early... 1:23 is a great example of why...

  • Did they ever pay the guys that wrote this song?

  • @stagnate100 jake holmes wrote the song.but it was a boring song with only a guitar and holmes wasn't even a good singer.sometimes ''covers'' are better than the original.anyway,to ask your question, yes they paid him,but the zeppelin version is more original than the original ;)

  • I think they should all get together again with Jason and do a world tour. This is fantastic!!! Sound as good as ever!!! Led Zeppelin is the best

  • We are your OVERLORDS!

  • unreal performance !! Jimmy Page the god

  • my band does a cover of the song if you like it join us on facebook we are called self explanatory

if you want to see it search self explanatory D & C

  • PAGE's sounds are terryfing and extraordinary....paranormal musician for ever....the greatest of all so creative all the times.....

  • Top 10 best bands EVER! 1.Led Zeppelin 2.Led Zeppelin 3.Led Zeppelin 4.Led Zeppelin 5.Led Zeppelin 6.Led Zeppelin 7.Led Zeppelin 8.Led Zeppelin 9.Led Zeppelin 10.Led Zeppelin
  • @Jordo1900 No way.Led Zeppelin in number 10? Theyre so much better than Led Zeppelin!

  • YEA! It's so much heavier tuned down. BADASS!!

  • Plagiarism ,a shameless band.

    go to hell old shit.

  • @livebest2000 Get fucked

  • @livebest2000 yeah palgiarism only on some parts of the lyrics and some bass sections.so you're wrong

  • @livebest2000 Led Zeppelin is one of the most awesome bands that there ever was. But indeed some of their songs were actually covers.

  • @GCEzel Not this one. This was written by Jimmy Page IN the Yardbirds. I'm pretty sure it's his song.

  • Amazing concert...terrible sound quality. x] I have headphones so it was buzzing in my ears like crazy. :P

  • We mere mortals cannot handles this much godlyness ...... *head blows up*

  • Hey it is my birthday Aug 1 and I am 42 this year. How about this Christmas do us a favor and release the video. It exists so let it fly free freebird.....

  • Will this EVER get a dvd release??

  • i wish i have had gone to this

  • This feels like a Black Sabbath influenced Dazed and Confused!!!!

  • Who played the drums in this one?

  • @mbaldisis John Bonham's son Jason.

  • dang the drums ripped the shit out of your audio.. ha i love it

  • @ RezaMatix I think Jimmy and JPJ would do it for $ and one last musical high. Plant has accepted it. Your absolutely right. Zep died w/ Bonham. Don't get me wrong I would love to see them play. I have seen Jimmy and Robert both together and separate and it was very good. There is no "majic" with out all of the original members

  • i like how jimmy page has probably been thinking of different and great ways to change up zeppelin's stuff 4 like 25 or so years

  • Man Jasons a great guy, but Bonzo could NEVER be replaced, even by his very talented son. Bonzo was just a part of Zep where Jay is just tryin to keep up. I HATE SAYING THAT

  • @urajokeMC now you know why they are not rushing to play more shows..its not led zeppelin without Bonzo...

  • its been a long time since the beasts from hell have been released from pages guitar.....sounds like their making up for lost time.

  • Where are all these so called "mistakes" everybody's talking about? Let's not confuse improvisation for mistakes. Zeppelin never play a song the same way twice, that's what makes them so great, they are an improv band. Also, you can't capture the magic of Led Zeppelin through a video, let alone, a cell phone!

  • @zeppyfan1977 It seems like Plant made a mistake at the start but like you said its improvising because the way it forces them to play the song after that makes it beyond perfect!

  • This sounds much darker and more evil than the original. It's scary!!

  • in there 60's and still rockin. they are the embodiment of rock and roll.

  • i was there! im not lying it was a great show the sound was bad because the O2 arena sound is horrible its not the band its the venue, there were mistakes but to me not any major ones and the show was fucking incredible watching page with violin bow to me was the highlight of the night

  • but for some reason that i don't quite comprehend (i dont think its just the reproduction in this channel...), the sound is really awful, you can barely distinguish any instrument from another and from just noise... let alone notes and tones!

  • @ppericodelosppalotes comprender en ingles no se dice comprehend... se dice understand

  • guys this is fucking ROCK but the orchestra, mistakes is ok.

  • *not The orchestra

  • There are loads of big mistakes in this show, which doesn't really matter. but that's why you won't see a DVD probably.

It would have to leave out great big parts of Dazed of Confused and other tracks I think...

  • Well, I think there were more mistakes in an average Zep performance in 1975-1980. They were often stoned, drunk or just sloppy and unrehearsed back in those days. In London 2007 they were focused and well rehearsed and the only big mistake came in the second half of Dazed...

  • @staernpeder . It's not really the drumming I'm referrin to, Jimmy's playing was not that good IMO from the clips I've seen. MAybe it was the shitty O2 sound? Robert Plant knew they weren't amazing on that show , good but not what they were obviously without Bonzo and with a modern pooey arena....

  • I'd say that even if there are mistakes, they will release it someday! I mean it would be cool to see : THEIR LAST SHOW ALL TOGETHER : LED ZEPPELIN LIVE AT THE O2! on a DVD cover! and even if they did some mistakes, it won't bother them : watch The Song Remains the Same : there are a lot of mistakes and some songs are better at this show then in TSRTS! And people won't bother if there are mistakes (True fans I mean)!! Just wait next years of the years after (Like for TSRTS : 3 years after!) :P

  • well, think about it again, their live aid eprformace was never released, and thatwas also their last show for some time.

  • staernpeder is right. There were not many mistakes in this show. Again, the one is Dazed and Confused is probably the only big mistake outta the whole show. All the other songs (according to hearing the best audio quality recordings) had no other mistakes. A damn fantastic show, Led Zeppelin is the best band to ever exist.

  • Zeppelin aren't Zeppelin without John Bonham!!!

  • My question is: When are they (if ever) going to release a DVD of this...I mean shit man..Page went over the edge during this song..pure classic!!

  • muy buen video

  • doesnt sound the same without John Bonham

  • This performance seems so much deeper and darker than all the other ones I've heard of Dazed and Confused. It's as those they fused this with the tone of "No Quarter". I don't know about everyone else, but I for one think that this is one of the best Dazed and Confused plays I've heard.

  • You're right about it sounding exceptionally "dark." Sounds like Black Sabbath doing Zeppelin.

  • yeah, sabbath did the same tune changing for ozzy on their 99 reunion album.

  • @OropherThranduil

Holy shit! I can't imagine Tony Iommi going down any further than he usually does!

  • It's cause its dropped a couple steps cause Plant can't hit the notes he used to be able to hit. Making the notes sound heavier.

  • right on with the genre. take Houses of the Holy for example, it had some a folk interlude as the The Song Remains the Same, the Rain Song, a ballad like non other, Over the Hills, a folk-rock, Dancing Days an eastern influence, The Crunge true funk, D'yer Maker true reggae (with the power of Bonham), No Quarter which i cant even classify, possibly some sort of jazz fusion (one of my favorite Zep songs), and The Ocean just a great upbeat time with doo-wop!! :)

  • lol i remember plant and jimmy talkin before they play sayin " geez were gettin old we gotta slow down so we dont hurt our selfs" lol figures y they play so slow but i love zeppelin and they couldnt sound any better

  • And, oh shit, Page's violin solo. Best it's ever been. There's parts that sounds like voices screaming.

  • @ludwigvan17

iv only ever heard 4 people make a guitar sing page hendrix and to a lesser extent clapton and knopfler iv heard plenty that sound great but a bit emotionless

  • @ludwigvan17 Live, the bow parts bounce off the auditorium walls and it's eerie and it's beautiful. It's something I will never forget.

  • Damn, Page's git sounds downright evil in the beginning.

  • Plant came in too early!

  • the guy in the bass is john paul jones?

  • yeah

  • no shit

  • Page is AMAZING here!! God let this come out on DVD!!

  • i fuckin hate the beatles!

  • not as good as the backstreet boys

  • and you sir, are a twat.

  • HA! someone who can distort his voice and say poetry quickly is the best? can T-Pain do what ANY of thesde guys are doing? i think not so just go shut the fuck up and keep ur opinions to ur self.

  • Please put this on DvD already! Especially if your not gonna get back together give us something

  • My one word to zeppelin LOVE .

  • Holy shit Led Zeppelin is still the best band to ever exist. They are always the fuckin' best! No one beats them.

  • @RockerForLife74 Hahah, go see Deep Purple today man, you'll find out you're wrong...At least they don't change the keys of their songs by like 3 tons to fit their singer's voice...

  • @vinnybla Na, Led Zeppelin reigns supreme over any band. Deep Purple themselves would probably bow down to Led Zeppelin. Hell, Ian Paice idolizes Bonham. Led Zeppelin is just better man. Definitely back then and now too.

  • @RockerForLife74

Well, that's a point of view say...more arguing would be pointless

  • @vinnybla i'm sorry, but is there something wrong with changing keys?

  • @RobDZeppelin In a sense no, there's nothing wrong with it...But if you've listenned to a lot of Zep different song versions like me, and that you have a excellent ear like me, this version just doesn't sound right, way too low. Robert can't do what he used to for a LONG time now (after their 4th LP), and changing the keys isn't gonna change a damn thing to it. Whatever I say, you and a bunch of other blind zep-lovers are going to give me shit about my comments, especially if you're american...

  • Comment removed

  • @RockerForLife74 You're Fucking Right!!! They're The Best!

  • your bastard.

  • Its funny Page played better on this than he did back in 79 at Knebworth !!!

  • Knebworth was a complete joke of a performance the whole show.

  • to many drugs by then

  • they are GODS eheh ^.^

  • All three surviving members of Led Zeppelin deny that the band was ever metal.

  • I didn't want it to end...

  • sorry am dazed and/or confused - I saw the Firm play this in Pittsburgh when I was in college - freakin' awesome!!!!!

  • why the fuck isn't this out on dvd yet?

  • i doesnt matter "what" they are cos all that matters really is they god-damn-ROCK!!

You say Eastside boys-I say GunsnRoses

You say Miley Cyrus-I say Metalica

    You say T-Pain-I say Poison

You say Flowers-I say def lepard

    You say Pink-I say ac/dc

You say Pop-I say heavy metal

92% of teenagers have turned to Hip Hop and Pop.If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this message to another 5 videos.

DON'T LET THE SPIRIT OF HEAVY METAL DIE!!!

  • Don't worry, im 12 and im obsessed with Led Zep and other 60s/70s classic rock bands

  • led zeppelin are not heavy metal!!

  • EXACTLY. i hate how people say that. they are blues rock. and folk rock, and on houses of the holy, reggae and funk.

  • Well they've had some of there heavy metal songs to you know, cause when us think of heavy mteal we think, leather studs, SnM type clothing, with a howling vocal, and a crazy awesome screeching guitar, but heavy metal back then was songs like rock and roll, and black dog, songs like that were considered heavy metal but in now adays perception they will label it as hardrock, but back in the days thats as heavy as it can get

  • i agree with that. but as far as they were concerned, Page and Plant felt they were the blues and folk of their time. unfortunately idiots over/mis-interpreted it and thus the crap of the late 70s, 80s and onward.

  • yeah i get you and i do see them much more then heavy metal, they dont even seem like a genre there just to me there just led zeppelin you know u cant really label none of there songs as anything because of there uniqueness, there were and still are that great.

  • yeah not Heavy Metal, but new led zepp for its time was pretty hard. not like now days but back then it was!

  • Led Zeppelin ,...THE GOD OF METAL..

    Robert Plant...THE GOD OF VOICE

Jimmy Page...ONE OF THE GODS OF GUITAR

  • Metal? What crack are you on

  • No its not is classic rock with a hint of blues

  • No, it's heavy metal. Classic rock wasn't considered that back then because it's when it first came out. I did a whole report on Rock and Roll and it's roots. Zeppelin was considered heavy metal when they came out. And they still are.Classic rock is just a general term for the music that came out back then.

  • ...actually, I think it's just rock and roll. Your dog could eat your report, and it would still be rock and roll!

  • Well whatever it is, it sounds ####### good'

  • Did you fail then? Led Zeppelin was a Blues/Folk Rock band when they first come out, they were later considered as a hard rock band, along with bands such as Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath. The term "heavy metal" was a term that was considered a derogatory term by many music critics, when writing about certain bands who used a lot of distortion. However many bands adopted the term to describe their music, and thus a genre was born.

Nowadays they are seen as Metal, but not so back then.

  • The first band to be called a "metal" band was Steppinwolf with the release of Born to be Wild.

  • Actually they were the first band to use the term heavy Metal in their lyrics

"I like smoke and lightning, Heavy metal thunder, Racin' with the wind, And the feelin' that I'm under"

Humble Pie were one of the first bands to be described as "Heavy metal", by the music press, but it was meant as derogatory. The first true "Heavy metal" song, as described by the music press back in the 60s was "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix, although this has often been disputed, by metal fans.

  • This is true. No one disagree with him if you like being right.

  • Metal is mindless singing and guitar. mETAL IS EARLY 80s with the exception of black sabbath. this is blues/rock.

  • without this ...there is no metal

  • Without Black Sabbath there is no metal. All metal bands said there influence was Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd. Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd never said there influence was Led Zepplin. Im not saying Pink Floyd is metal, theyre rock, but metal bands said Pink Floyd was theyre influnce.

  • What would you consider Floyd?. I def. wouldnt call them Metal. Sabbath= metal for sure. Im just saying that without Zepplin and Sabbath, the influencial mixture that those two bands music is, "metal" wouldn't be metal.

  • Pink Floyd is psychedelic rock.

  • Yeah, but Led Zeppelin kicks the shit outta Pink Floyd though. Just sayin'. =)

  • You can't compare Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin since their music is totally different. Led Zeppelin is my no. 1 band followed by Pink Floyd, both are great, I enjoy Led Zeppelin more though. But Pink Floyd puts up a better live show but Led Zeppelin's music at live shows is better for me.

  • When it comes to skill and some other aspects you can compare them. Skill wise, Led Zeppelin is better than Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin is better than any other band on this planet. That's just my opinion though lol sorry if I upset you a bit. I'm just a die hard fan of Led Zeppelin.

  • 1. Led Zeppelin

    2. The Beatles

    3. Pink Floyd

    4. Radiohead

    5. The Who

    All English bands.

  • or prog

  • you're forgetting deep purple....which is better than sabbath ......sabbath is good with Dio & Tony martin as singers though

  • Metal takes a lot of talent. To describe metal as "mindless singing, and guitar" is true ignorance of the genre. I am not a big fan of Heavy metal, but i recognise the skill levels needed to write and produce heavy metal. The roots to heavy metal started in the early 60s, but came to the fore in the 70s.

  • It's Acid Rock.

  • one of the GOD's??? LOL..hahahahhahha!!!!

    maybe the GREATEST!!!!

  • @penescus John Bonham... (Hands Down) THE GOD OF PERCUSSION

John Paul Jones - THE GOD OF BASS/MANDOLIN/KEYBOARDS/ABOUT 20 OTHER INSTRUMENTS

  • Led Zeppelin 4 ever

  • Robert Plant is a badass!

  • stop with the (you say akon i say journey) it sounds corny and stupid just enjoy the music

  • LOL!!!

  • serious man lol they sound like kids going to guitar center with there mom,

you say akon i say journey, give me a break go play guitar hero lol.

  • I say suck me ,you say when and where.

  • kiss sucks.

  • why the hell do I get downrated for posting the stupid copy paste bullshit that other people did? I thought my account was hacked lol. Beatles Suck (in my unique opinion), queen is meh, journey is meh. Hip hop is rubbish. I listen to classical music though so this is all irrelevant.

  • thta boy can drum, sounds just like his father RIP.

I will rocomend him to Daniel O Donnell for his band

  • i wish i could get some decent quality of this concert.thats the biggest problem for me.i listen to 60s and 70s zep with better quality.

  • yea i hear that. i would be really surprised if they didnt release this someday. hopefully soon, jimmys gettin up there in years.

  • Led Zeppelin? -1968-1975/76!

    This is NOT Led Zeppelin!
