Trias: Thsi is really the way one practices in taiji for combat. Most taiji teachers permit little or no free sparring since this is not part of our tradition, but after years of prctice the art turns into very effective self-defense.
Taiji as serious hand-to-hand far longer to master than external arts like karate or boxing.
I like the fluidity and moving step techniques; the one early on was quite interesting where the opponent was spun around by arms being pulled back over his head.
great push hands demo.
