btw guys, Acura is just another re branded line of Honda. Much like Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth. The reason why they would do that is so that the market today would be very much broader. As well, you would find more luxuries in an Acura than in a Honda. Just compare the price tags alone. Its very much like Lexus as to Toyota.

The Acura dealerships here in Canada still get their parts from the Honda Canada warehouse. I know because i work at a Honda dealership.

They are ugly but when I drove one wow. Comfortable. Great space inside. Great for what they where made for.

I love the Element, yeah it is damn ugly... but they are a blast to drive, and they make road trips and camping really fun. Their appearance grows on you too, like having an ugly puppy does.

I first gained interest in the Element because I heard several insecure people who take their appearance and cars way too seriously condemn it... and I knew it was the car for me without even seeing one.

This car would be cool depending on the color. Those mismatching side plastic body panels especially if they don't match the color are just uncool. It is also rather expensive to maintain. However the interior is very versatile, well equipped and well priced make it a mildly cool car. Some upgraded rims and window tinting would make this a brilliant car to look at as well as to drive.

it's not expensive to maintain. You don't even need to service it until it has 100k miles. And the purpose of the plastic sides are to deflect any pieces of gravel or rock that could dent a metal surface; also, they are super cheap to replace in case of an accident. It's not really a city car, more of an outdoor adventure car. Thats why i have it at least ; )

I love my element. The only thing I don't like is tat when you have light stuff in it, everything slides around, but it's a car with character, and it's fun to drive!

idk, to tell you the truth, i used to ahte hondas in general, but someone made me realize how close to perfect of a car they are. Its just that old 80's/90's hondas looked cheap mainly because teenagers put big rear wings on front wheel drive cars and put fat mufflers on them. But they are an AMAZING car company. The element tho i beleve was there first mistake tho, i think it just looks ugly. Im an Audi fan, i used to think that jap cars were crap, but i was dead wrong.

Then why is the exact same car in japan called a HONDA NSX. hhmmmm Maybe because it does't JUST have a Honda engine maybe it's because Honda makes the entire car, maybe because Honda invented Acura to sell their higher class cars under another name in the U.S. ACURA is HONDA, LEXUS IS TOYOTA, INFINITY is NISSAN. they aren't just companies that use the others engines they ARE the luxury brand of that company. wrong, the NSX was built along side Acura vehicles and was designed with the same styling techniques as Acura's at the time

my brother helped with the original design of NSX... 1 the NSX was built by Honda and Acura...Acura NSX is the American and Australian version of the Honda NSX built for european sales.. The NSX WAS built next to other acura cars and the engine was built by the same people as the acura engines. HONDA IS ACURA they just have different focus' (ex. The CRS (i think) is just a Civic with TINY mods to the body/interior)

Acuras, if you knew ANYTHING, are rebadged Hondas. The cars are available in Japan as Hondas. then when they come here, they slap an acura badge on it.
