I watched this video because of a comment against woman sterilization only. The possible mother will carry the chuld until conveiving, but both men and women should be sterilized after HIV positive detection. It may be "against human rights", but to conceive a child with HIV because of parents will to have a "natural baby" from their own is selfish and like to put a viral time bomb counter on their baby's head.
I'm sorry but its probably for the best. If women are not smart enough or strong enough to make the admittedly difficult decision of ending their ability to have more children. then maybe it should be made for them. Bringing children into the world with HIV should probably be considered a crime if done knowingly.
The rate of transmission from mother to child is higher than any other sexual method of transmission or even sharing needles with an infected person.
@ViolentKisses87 Their are millions of children without parents needing adoption acrossed the globe. This should be enough reason for parent's without the likelihood of having a HIV infected child to adopt. But far more so for parents who know the risk of having another child HIV or defect of predictable occurrence.
@ViolentKisses87 In a more enlightened world, obtaining consent from the mother's would be the most humane option. But because of the selfishness of people to have children despite the risk Their doctor's coercing or forcing sterilization are preventing a greater tragedy of creating new generation to spread this horrible disease into the world.
@ViolentKisses87 Open Society Institute members should feel shame for attacking the doctors when effort would be better placed toward comforting women who have been forced and convincing women living with HIV to become sterilized and adopt.
PS: I hope I didn't strike to harshly at anyone here I know the hearts of the members of the Open Society Institute are in the right place in their attempt to right a wrong, but one must always search for the greater good in things, even seemingly cruel things.
