  • What are the odds I should look up this song and the one I choose happens to be you? There is no accounting for taste friend :D

  • Wo you are intense..

    Cool I respect You...

    thanks for being good

  • This is an absolutely excellent movie . Really both versions are great .

I love the Tangerine Dream version more because of the score...and both versions

    are intense .

Jerry Goldsmith just totally kicks ass with his own soundscore..it is so interesting

to hear this soundtrack after 20 years.....

    God Bless You

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE! This movie! Andthis is my all time fav. part of the entire movie 2. My Fav. movie of all time!!! Thank you soo much for posting it!! <3

  • I just love the Honeythorn Gump . (Boy elf/fairy). <3<3<3

  • That was Tim Curry in the movie. Not just his voice.

  • I wish there was a version that's 98% the directors cut but had the theatrical ending. The directors cut ending is a lot weaker imo, the music just doesn't offer the same epic feeling.

  • @Chricton i bought it recently on blu ray and it was the directors cut. when the end came and i was waiting for this song to play.... and it just didn't... i felt ripped off in a serious way. this song makes the movie ending so much more heartwarming amazing beautiful perfect etc.

  • @indefinicy Then it's not the Blue Ray version! The Blue Ray version includes both versions!!!

  • @indefinicy I know just how you feel. I had the American version on VHS for years. I moved to Ireland a few years ago and bought the DVD..kept thinking there was something wrong the whole time I watched the DVD and finally realized there was a different soundtrack! The Bryan Ferry song wasn't on it, either. I felt like you..really ripped off!

  • tom cruise is a turd

  • 2:41 pre orgasm ear climax....

  • Special stuff..spent many an LSD soaked evening watching this movie over and over with friends 1986 87...weird times....ya cant even get any trip anymore..Thank God

  • Gumps' ears are the source of frivolity.....LOL

  • This would make a great music video here...i still like this movie since i was a little kid & i still do to this day, do love to add this song to my collection of music soundtracks songs like this one needs to remembered & be played in the next generation in our future, let's keep these great songs alive.

  • This is the Penultimute version of this lick

Ridley Scott did not like this version...that is his problem

    This ending still is perfect

And a Jon Anderson and Tangeriine Dream collaboration is not going to happen

    again soon

Great movie and much derisioned soundtrack

  • Coming to Blu-ray 5/31/11! Can't wait!

  • I have seen this movie 100 times and never get tired of it, love this song too!

  • This is a great song and movie. But, Brian Ferry (Roxy Music) and David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) also did a great song for this movie "Is Your Love Strong Enough" (David Gilmour is a guitar GOD and Brian Ferry has a great voice). Check it out.

  • Jack - I will Miss you.

Gump - But Don't Forget Us.

    TomCruise - Never

    (YEAH RIGHT!)

  • Cannot believe one person gave this a thumbs down. Jon is one of my favourite vocalists, the uniqueness of his voice - I always imagine with with fantasy and adventure. I'm going to check my Legend DVD and see which soundtrack version I have. Thank you for sharing this video - brings back fond memories.

  • Best part of this movie...JA's voice should have been the background to many movies...YES and Jon have been the sound tract to my life....

  • Great song n great video !

  • Sweet songs of youth, the wise, the meaning of all wisdom... to believe in the good of man.

  • fkn 80s XD

  • I tried to watch the directors cut butI prefer this version, these songs are what made the film memorable

  • I really tried to find this (the sound track or video) the Tangerine Dream version ,but the only I found was the Jerry Goldsmith version .Very nice to see this version .

  • One of the World's best songs forever !

  • my favorite movie, i love mia sara

  • Magnifique !!!

    Images et Music !!!

    Really strong one !!!

  • What a combination...Jon Anderson & Tangerine Dream, great film...

  • how could you like Jerry Goldsmith's score better!? Must be a kid who didn't grow up on the movie...humph! :D

  • Sorry, this is real!:)Jethro Tull and Jon Anderson forever:)

  • Ian Anderson

     ooopssssssssssss

  • @FaterTheBoss Jon Anderson of Yes,

not Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull or John Anderson the Country Musician

  • @FaterTheBoss definitely Jon from YES

  • i hate that i cannot find an mp3 or sownload for this song!!!

  • This version and this part will always be my favourite movie moment. Since i was 4 years old, i will never for this. ^-^

  • What version is this one I keep finding the one with jerry goldsmith person... not bad but I rather have this one

  • This is the American Release, the Soundtrack may be unavailable, and some DVD's have both versions.

  • I grabbed that one in excitement when i saw that this was finalyy on dvd and got the same shock! He is a movie score writer and his other work is brilliant but Tangerine dream made this movie 10x's better than his score, I had to go re -buy it with the TD score so beautiful!

  • If it is more beautiful word from the word it is such a beautiful word describes my admiration

  • jon anderson, Yes, Bryan Ferry, and Tangerine Dream are awesome! I much rather prefer Tangerine Dream vers. over the European vers. but I like both don't get me wrong

  • there are also some parts of the film that are a little different, i like bits of both, and its a great film

    :-)

  • My daughter's three children (My grand children) wanted to watch the film LEGEND again. Ann put the video on with the Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack and the kids certainly did not like it, they wanted the other version with the better music...they said. Children are not stupid!!!

  • i always wander if Tom Cruise has any TD album in his collection?

at least two of his movies are scored by Tangerine Dream.

    i mean, what the f'ck..?

  • But don't forget us....... Never!!!!!

only best line in the movie.

  • Morning Sunshine...

Let's go...we got some warming to do.

    xoxoxo

  • to me the Jerry Goldsmith score was awful and will never beat the tangerine dream version!

  • mia was the sexiest girl of all in that movie ...she was that an a bag of tater chips ..an i will include the fairy was hot too : )

  • Jon Anderson's voice can not be compared to any other.

I'm so glad they didn't fuck this or Labyrinth up like they did "The Neverending Story" with a sequel.

This whole album is a trip worth taking.

Tangerine Dream are gods when it comes to movie musical composition.

  • i smoked a joint to this and triped my ass off definately a good song...

  • something beautiful

  • He have one of the best voyce on the world.5*

  • PHILIP CAPET KI KI KI JAI! listen to Michael Tsarion on the youtube. He is the worlds premier conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Leo Zagami and Dr. Bill Deagle are highly informative as well.

  • If I watched this movie on mute it would have been a total disaster, almost as bad as Rosemary's Babey. But with the sound on, one of the best of all time!

  • Tangerine Dream's soundtrack to Legend wipes the floor with Jerry Goldsmith's version, and this classic song is the best example of that.

  • perfect ending with the perfect soundtrack, best ending compared to that other ending

dont delete this video,is worth having it on your channel,so more people can injoy it

    thanks for the upload

  • Beautiful!!

  • @garethac81 Very much so.

  • my fav, part of the movie

i absolutely LOVE and ADORE those unicorns

  • Comment removed

  • Fantastic combination : Jon Anderson Voice = Music Tangerine Dream

  • Love the way Jon's superb voice soars above Tangerine Dream's powerfull sound. This is classic...

  • how is the album version like 6 minutes lon? they both sound the same

  • They're not the same. This one is missing a part in the middle and the opening. Also the ending is cut off much sooner. On the album, Oona speaks at the end "...to believe in the good in Man." for over a minute.

  • I believe that I need to see this movie.

  • It's posted on youtube in 9 different parts, I just watched it and I LOVED it!

  • That's the one. That's the perfect ending. Tangerine Dream and Jon Anderson are it. I have seen both endings and this one just has something more appealing and genuine about it. Its one of my all time favorite movies. I could watch it now if it wasn't almost 3 am.

  • John Anderson is a genious!!!!!!!!

    Foxtronix Ink

  • I think I'd rather have Oona.

  • I've seen both versions of the film the U.S. Theatrical release and the directors cut...I like both but I cannot deny that I love Tangerine Dreams score for the film a lot better...and this song is magic <3333333

  • Yeah, I can't help but like the Tangerine version because that's the one I grew up with. The Jerry Goldsmith version was interesting after I FINALLY got to see it when I purchased the Special Edition DVD.

  • I love this movie it is my favorite

  • I have seen the mystics play there Once or twice but I knew they had a reason Enchantment plays it's cards all right Hand in hand with the working of the seasons I have seen the mystics play there Once or twice but I knew they had a reason Enchantment plays it's cards all right Hand in hand with the working of the seasons I have seen the mystics play there Once or twice but I knew they had a reason Enchantment plays it's cards all right Hand in hand with the working of the seasons
  • Legends can be now and forever

Legends can be now and forever

Loved by the sun, loved by the sun

    Loved

  • Nice video effects...

  • I remeber this from my childhood, I only ever saw the Tangerine dreams version and I fell in love with it, I was a bit of a fantasey nut, still am, but this is a firm favort, right up their with Labyrinth (OMG David Bowie and the crimminaly tight pantes lol) Willow, Dark Crystel and all the other's, it's magic ;) thank you for putting this up here, we can't get the US version on DVD here in the UK sadly :(

  • Great song - Jon Anderson is perfect for this. Every frame looks like a painting!

  • Tim Robbins played an AMAZING "Darkness" and I just love the movie. Jon Anderson and Tangerine Dream put the E's in swEEt. Alot of people think it's cheesy, fantasy movies aren't supposed to be normal, their supposed to be cheesy and out of this world. That's why it's a fantasy... oh well, just an opinion, JON ANDERSON, TANGERINE DREAM, TIM ROBBINS, TOM CRUISE, RIDLEY SCOTT AND LEGEND LIVE FOREVER! :DDDD

  • Correction, Darkness was played by Tim Curry.

  • oh my bad, thanks bud lol

  • you mean Tim Curry..

  • I always prefered this ending ^^ I was really dissapointed with the other one lol

  • Magical ending.

  • I love LEGEND. All Version was great, but this soundtrack was magical! Thanks Jon Anderson and Tangerine Dream and Ridley Scott Director (Alien, Blade Runner) Rob Bottin Special Make-Up nad Effects (John Carpenter's The Thing) Tom Cruise aka Jack (Top Gun)

  • Legend, one of the movies from back before Harry Potter and Eragon and Lord of the Rings (among others) made the fantasy genre more mainstream. Still, by far, one of my favorite movies to this day. Get the Ultimate Edition. ^_^ You get BOTH releases (the director's cut and the theatrical cut--two TOTALLY different stories).

This song is drooly fabtastic. :D~~~

  • of course the movie itself was a little cheesy- though it does hark back to a time before tom cruise was so publicly weird. the music was this movie's saving grace. jon anderson and tangerine dream can add musical magic to anything. i think the satan figure at the end is there to remind us that evil and darkness does still lurk in the background of light and goodness, and we must be aware of it.

  • I always thought this song was cheesy but I just watched the alternate ending. AAARRRGH! I'll never complain about this ending again.

  • I LOVE this film and after watching the Goldsmith version just now I have to say this ending is much much better!

  • i remember this version as a kid n i prefer this version

  • I prefer the tangerine dream music to goldsmith's. It just fits better to me.

  • huh looks like my sister wasn't the only one who uploaded this scene. thanks!

  • well edited.

  • roflmfao!!!!!

bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is the cheesiest damn movie I have seen in a very long time.

what the f is with the devil at the end???????!!!

  • This is one of the greatest films I've grown up to. A great cult classic!
