Necrophobic! They might not have ever put out a real album, but they issued at least one demo. And Dark Throne's first album was pretty good death metal, but they then turned into shitty black metal, as did Dark Tranquility (already mentioned).

I had this EP when they were still Macabre End and it was one of my favorites from that era.

@BillyBoyIzKool You could also look up Finnish OSDM, obviously not what your looking for, but they have some great music too and I'm sure Metalmania84 would agree with me there. Such as, Putrid, if you like your DM brutal as fuck, same with Convulse. The is Necropsy, Obfuscation, Funebre, Depravity (Silence of the Centuries) album, a definite must hear. And, also, Xysma, Demigod, Mordicus and Purtenance. You can see all these bands at XysmicExecration's account. Enjoy!!

Judging from the new video of Unleashed "Black Horizon" they have had some large scale financing for a change. ( I liked the old simple Unleashed better, but new ain't bad either )

Great to see, that the DM fever is running high in Sweden after more than ten years. Old bands like Krypt of Kerberos are coming back, and making re-issues. Just wonderful
