  • Question, I can get any user who is an administrator to remote in but standard users don't have access. How can I give the standard users access to remote logins as well? I've tried a Group Policy plugin for Win7 Home Premium and added the Users group to the 'Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services' under Computer Configuration/Security Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment but after doing a gpupdate /force that doesn't work.

  • Trojan virus was detected when I extracted compressed files

  • what an absolute legend, thank you for sharing this, massive help buddy!

  • Downloaded the zip file through your updated link (Concurrent RDP Patcher.zip) and avast is signaling a threat while I scan the zip file! How come?

Your computer could not connect to another console session on the remote computer because you already have a console session in progress."

I followed a few option in internet but non worked. Any suggestions?

    Best regards ppl...

  • I could seem to get this to work. For anyone on the same boat try UniversalTermsrvPatch. That worked for me. Concurrent logons on Windows 7 Professional SP1

  • I have still no clue how to do this since the packages I downloaded dont match what you put in the video

  • The link to the file is no longer active is there another place to download this file?

  • @JLKevents I'll get another link up sometime tonight - try again tomorrow. The link will be more permanent.

  • port 3389 is NOT listening? please help:(:(

  • @adesattftl Sounds like you have a firewall problem. Check windows firewall settings on both PC's, and also on your router, if applicable.

  • @vlnplyr5 alright thanks. does remote desktop have sound? cuz i wanna control fl studio from my other computer, and i was wondering if sound works?:\

  • Mine says the credentials that were used to connect did not work? any ideas? and im also trying to get onto that pc using the remote desktop app by xtralogic and says cant connect? im so lost

  • Mine says the credentials that were used to connect did not work? any ideas? and im also trying to get onto that pc using the remote desktop app by xtralogic and says cant connect? im so lost

  • I have used this patch exactly as This video has explained and I get the following error ... Error : Unknown Checksum ... exiting. After this error the window closes the computer still will not allow me to remote desktop into this system. Any thoughts as to what I could do to get this to work?

  • This Totally Works!! Thanks Dude!!

  • you got to learn how to NOT say "aaa" every few words :)

  • I am trying to remote dektop from Win 7 Ultimate to Win Vista Home Premium but cannot. However from Vista to Win7 it does work. Any ideas?

  • how did you get all the desktop icons out to the left like that? ;)

  • @0hmish I just moved the taskbar. Nothing tricky, just make sure it's unlocked (right click, unlock taskbar), then drag it over there.

  • It works !!! Had to enable the 3389 port in Windows firewall inbounds. There was a bug on copy-paste feature between local and remote PC but solved by deactivating and reactivating the RDPClip.exe file on task manager. It is a known problem in Microsoft and fortunately it doesn't happen in all remote desktop connections.

  • cannot find termsrv.dll when i try to patch any1 got any ideas?

  • this may be a simple problem, or not, but when i login via remote desktop on the same computer (like in the video), it says the user account password is incorrect...and i've tried changing the password on the host computer, but to no avail.

anybody have an idea why this is happening?

  • i get an error that says exactly as follows:

"The Remote Desktop Services service could not be started.

    A system error has occurred.

    *** is not a valid Win32 application.

Pausing 5 seconds to give service time to start listening

Checking if Service is listening on port 3389"

by this point it does nothing. any idea what might be happening?

  • ive created a new account, but when i try to connect with it, it tells me this user is not allowed to connect via rdp. where can i change/config this?

  • adding the exception to the advanced firewall worked for me - windows 7 home premium. before the exception, it would disappear after reboot.

  • I followed your directions to a tee, but I keep getting an error message saying `Remote Desktop can`t connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons: 1) Remote access to the server is not enabled, 2) The remote computer is turned off, 3) The remote computer is not available on the network``

Both computers were patched and can browse each others files via HomeGroup. When I type ``ipconfig éall`` for some odd reason it only lists the computer I`m on and not the other.

  • @mw71133 I should also add that each computer can connect to itself via RDP as in the video.

  • @mw71133 Solved. In Windows Firewall -> Adv settings, add new inbound rules for port 3389 (both tcp, udp). Also, I needed to make my usernames and passwords the exact same on both computers.

  • is there a way of reversing the script?

  • windows 8?

  • You can get Windows 7 for free now!

    downloadblinks . C [] M

  • i want to connect to my sisters computer remotely. if i download the patch and istall it and everything works fine. what am i suppose to put where it asks you for computer:. i dont know what is the name of her computer. is it her ip adress? your help would be truly greatful

  • @borochocho If you are on the same network together, you can either use her computer name or her IP address. They can both be found by clicking start and typing "cmd" in the search box, then press enter. When command prompt comes up, type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes and it will give you the HOST NAME at the top and the IPv4 address under the network connection.

  • Outstanding! Thanks a lot!

  • is there any operating system or maybe a window version that allows you to do this by default? I read in windows home basic's license agreement that it only allows one user at a time to access the software. Is it possible for them to remotely identify through the internet that you've had multiple users logged in at the same time?

  • I have tried to get this working on Windows 7 Home Premium but says can't find Termsrv.dll. Any solution?

  • @davidmichaellevine Double check that termsrv.dll is in the C:\windows\system32 folder first, if it's not, your install could be broken. You may need to enable viewing hidden/system files to see it. Also make sure you run the download as administrator so it will be able to "see" those system folders.

  • I am trying to run this on Windows Home Premium 32 but says can't find Termsrv.dll any solution?

  • dosen't work with W7 Ultimate 64-bit 6.1.7600 Any idea?

  • @MrMegvadulthangya I think the problem is that Ultimate already comes with RDP enabled, so you are essentially just looking to do multiple users. Here's a link to try: bit (dot) ly/cCvJsJ (replace period for (dot))

  • @vlnplyr5 i try that with hungarian version of w7, today i dload the english version and its ok...

  • anyone have another link to download this patch?

mediafire was taken down today and i can't find it anywhere else.

  • @anotherazian Video updated with new link. Thanks for pointing this out.

  • Just an fyi - a remote user CAN log in using the same account as the user logged in at the PC (ie at the 'console')!

    -Kim

  • @jenniferrowden True, you "can", but the user settings get very problematic. The last user to sign off gets the saved settings, so it can cause a problem if you plan to set things specifically for a user. Sorry if I mis-spoke in the video, and thanks for the reply!

  • dude i was wondering if i can do this same tutorial on my:

    windows vista home premium

    precessor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 620 processor 2.60GHz

    Memory (RAM): 4.00GB

    System type: 64-bit Operating System

    ?

  • awesome video thank u very much

  • Is there a way to log onto the current user to teach that user something remotely? Thanks

  • @xXBassetXx You would need to use Remote Assistance to accomplish this. I can make a how-to video if you want...

  • @vlnplyr5 Is there something similar for windows xp pro...

  • @zakolo Do you mean about the Remote Assistance, or doing concurrent Remote Desktop sessions?

Remote Assistance is avaialable in XP, Vista, and 7.

Concurrent sessions are available also, just Google "concurrent remote desktop windows xp".

  • @vlnplyr5 I meant concurrent remote desktop sessions in XP pro...
