Question, I can get any user who is an administrator to remote in but standard users don't have access. How can I give the standard users access to remote logins as well? I've tried a Group Policy plugin for Win7 Home Premium and added the Users group to the 'Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services' under Computer Configuration/Security Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment but after doing a gpupdate /force that doesn't work.
I have problem I need to connect to an other PC in my LAN but once I connect to that PC the user will be logged out is this pach gonna help to fix that as well ?
I could seem to get this to work. For anyone on the same boat try UniversalTermsrvPatch. That worked for me. Concurrent logons on Windows 7 Professional SP1
Mine says the credentials that were used to connect did not work? any ideas? and im also trying to get onto that pc using the remote desktop app by xtralogic and says cant connect? im so lost

I have used this patch exactly as This video has explained and I get the following error ... Error : Unknown Checksum ... exiting. After this error the window closes the computer still will not allow me to remote desktop into this system. Any thoughts as to what I could do to get this to work?
It works !!! Had to enable the 3389 port in Windows firewall inbounds. There was a bug on copy-paste feature between local and remote PC but solved by deactivating and reactivating the RDPClip.exe file on task manager. It is a known problem in Microsoft and fortunately it doesn't happen in all remote desktop connections.
this may be a simple problem, or not, but when i login via remote desktop on the same computer (like in the video), it says the user account password is incorrect...and i've tried changing the password on the host computer, but to no avail.
ive created a new account, but when i try to connect with it, it tells me this user is not allowed to connect via rdp. where can i change/config this?
not gonna dl some shady 3d part app to do it... the app must make changes to the pc. need a guide that just shows those changes to make sure there are no nasties in it!
I followed your directions to a tee, but I keep getting an error message saying `Remote Desktop can`t connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons: 1) Remote access to the server is not enabled, 2) The remote computer is turned off, 3) The remote computer is not available on the network``
Both computers were patched and can browse each others files via HomeGroup. When I type ``ipconfig éall`` for some odd reason it only lists the computer I`m on and not the other.
@mw71133 Solved. In Windows Firewall -> Adv settings, add new inbound rules for port 3389 (both tcp, udp). Also, I needed to make my usernames and passwords the exact same on both computers.
i want to connect to my sisters computer remotely. if i download the patch and istall it and everything works fine. what am i suppose to put where it asks you for computer:. i dont know what is the name of her computer. is it her ip adress? your help would be truly greatful
@borochocho If you are on the same network together, you can either use her computer name or her IP address. They can both be found by clicking start and typing "cmd" in the search box, then press enter. When command prompt comes up, type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes and it will give you the HOST NAME at the top and the IPv4 address under the network connection.
is there any operating system or maybe a window version that allows you to do this by default? I read in windows home basic's license agreement that it only allows one user at a time to access the software. Is it possible for them to remotely identify through the internet that you've had multiple users logged in at the same time?
@davidmichaellevine Double check that termsrv.dll is in the C:\windows\system32 folder first, if it's not, your install could be broken. You may need to enable viewing hidden/system files to see it. Also make sure you run the download as administrator so it will be able to "see" those system folders.
@MrMegvadulthangya I think the problem is that Ultimate already comes with RDP enabled, so you are essentially just looking to do multiple users. Here's a link to try: bit (dot) ly/cCvJsJ (replace period for (dot))
@jenniferrowden True, you "can", but the user settings get very problematic. The last user to sign off gets the saved settings, so it can cause a problem if you plan to set things specifically for a user. Sorry if I mis-spoke in the video, and thanks for the reply!

by this point it does nothing. any idea what might be happening?
