I never met Patrice but this was such a great way to say goodbye to a friend of everyone in that room. It was a joy to hear and actually choked me up at a few points.

Patrice Oneal was one of my favourite comedians. Not only was he funny, but he was poetic, brutal, sensitive, dirty. A complicated flawed genius. I liked Patrice more for his ability to talk, he was a brilliant speaker. His insight into everything was always surprising and accurate. He had a philosophy, and that was what made him potent. But when you live by an ideal, you often die by it. Patrice will live on, and people will be pissing themselves at his work decades on from now. Rest in peace.
