Does anyone know what episode this scene was supposed to be in? Because although I LOVE this scene and I think it was a mistake that it wasn't included in the final cut, it doesn't really seem to fit in with anything (any of the scenes or episodes, I mean).... especially because she's speaking directly to the camera. It wouldn't really make sense.

Effy stonem is an incredibly exciting character in the series. She is beautiful, and mysterious. But do not try to be like her. I fell for her completely. Changed my style and my make-up and, above all, I changed my whole personality. I tried to get depressed, and there I was, really depressed. I go to talks with psychologists several times a week, and I eat pills for my anxiety. I would do anything to get back my old life. But think what a strong character she manages to play, it's amazing.

While the directors created it, it's the producers who get the say about what goes in... and /that's/ what turned the US version of Skins into such rubbish. There are more strict television rules over in the US than there are in Europe. So what the show could convey in a quick scene on SkinsUK, had to be conveyed verbally in SkinsUS. And that's where the age old rule of "show me, don't tell me" gets it's reason. No one's bashing Skins. :)

And this was a lot of lemonade, enough to last her till she died, cause her parents wanted her to live for ages but she drank, every last drop, until she was in an empty bottle but that was no good, she still couldn’t get out. But that was okay, because she just waited until she had a big one stored up.
She knew she had to do something, he was getting worse and worse and worse and he was really hungry and thirsty and he started eating glass and puking up all the time. So she tried to think of some plan for him but she couldn’t. All she knew is that he needed her with him. All she could do was watch him puke his guts up on the other side of the glass. But then bingo, she knew.
And cause it was the countryside, there was nothing for him to eat, nothing for him to buy and he was starving. And yes UK Skins is much better than US. But, for what it is, it isn't a bad show. It only seems inferior cuz it's constantly compared to the original.

@xundefinex It's a metaphor for her life. She's the girl, Tony is the ignored boy, and I'm guessing the "lemonade" is love or attention. They give it all to her and save none for Tony she she stopped accepting it and became closer to him and loved him more b/c no one else did. Maybe that's why she has such a hard time feeling loved, and flips out when the Freddy relationship happened. She no longer likes lemonade, so it messes her up now.
@ShadesterMando I'll have to disagree with you on that. The ignored boy represents Effy and Tony is the girl having all of the attention and getting away with murder when it comes to his antics. He thinks he is invincible, but once everyone gets tired of his crap and he is forced being alone, he sees that Effy is having problems that are being missed by their oblivious parents, so he tries to save her. The story is parallel to Effy's episode in season 1.
@connbw No don't you see? The reason why Tony gets away with all his shit, is because no one cares! He gets blamed for everything that happens, like when Effy gets overdosed, and they blame it on tony. So they send Effy off to some posh school, to take more care of her and all that.

@xundefinex It's a metaphor for her life. She's the girl, Tony is the ignored boy, and I'm guessing the "lemonade" is love or attention. They give it all to her and save none for Tony she she stopped accepting it and became closer to him and loved him more b/c no one else did. Maybe that's why she has such a hard time feeling loved, and flips out when the Freddy relationship happened. She no longer likes lemonade, so it messes her up now.

@ShadesterMando I'll have to disagree with you on that. The ignored boy represents Effy and Tony is the girl having all of the attention and getting away with murder when it comes to his antics. He thinks he is invincible, but once everyone gets tired of his crap and he is forced being alone, he sees that Effy is having problems that are being missed by their oblivious parents, so he tries to save her. The story is parallel to Effy's episode in season 1.
