@icoopers LOL!! Um... I think you should take a second look at what market share your talking about. :) I'm guessing is not going to be pretty for you.
@icoopers Maybe I'm confused by your intent. I thought you were trying to say no one used PCs and only use Apple now, but I admit I could have been wrong. If you were saying that, then I was trying to point out that Apple has about 5-10% of the market share, which pretty much means PCs take up the rest of the market. HP alone has about 30% market share. But I do agree with you that Apple share has continuously grown for last 5 years or so. I own products from both HP and Apple.
@howto4u Ok gotcha... I Meant actual "capital market share" which as of now, Apple is way ahead of MS for about 100 billions. This is the info you want to look at since the current computer business market share still belongs for the most part to MS (for specific reasons) and while the consumer for the most part belongs to Apple. At the end, what counts is stocks and revenue per Q and clearly, Apple's competitors continue to struggle to catch up making it a unquestionable leader in technology.
@icoopers I agree that Apple is very profitable right now, particularly in the US. But there is more to it than that. Number of shares, number of employees, etc...there are a lot of factors to be considered. Stock value is able to be controlled. For example, about 10years ago HP's stock was around $150 a share, but HP shareholders decided to split the stock in half to create more shares, which of course then cuts the single share value in half. So comparing stock prices can be tricky.
@howto4u After all, This is not the reason why we buy from Apple and only from Apple and why we have placed our trust on them. I think we care more for what we support theses days bc of other more meaningful important reasons.
You need the driver. It may be preloaded on the laptop, you'd have to see. You have to go through the Add Printer process in Windows. If the driver's not preloaded, you could also download it from the Internet. To get the entire software on the laptop, you need the CD. So the short answer is probably not, as long as the driver is preloaded or you download it.
Vintage video! This is hilarious! :) No one uses a PC these days any more.
