First Start of the Buggy Engine

this might be a stupid question for you.i made a hotrod out odf a beetle.the only thing im having troube with is the wiring.i just need the basic ignition.headlights taillights exc.but all the wiring diagrams i get are very complicated i want too wire this thing like if it was a sandrail....please help me
