Dirt bike technology seems to be rather stagnant. These bike don't look much different than they did back in the early 80's. Same tires, rims, grips, suspension travel, seats, plastic, bars, frames, brakes, chains, sprokets, swing arms, handle bars, ........I'm not saying there aren't changes.....it's just the biggest changes are that some have changed colors. That they went from 2 stroke to 4 stroke seems to be the only significant change. ........but there were 4 strokes in the 80's too.
96xr400, I read somewhere that Stewart was planning on making his comeback next week, however, he suffered some type of a setback and he won't be back until later, likely after the next round.
canard is great, and possibly now one of my top riders... but I believe he needs to go back to the 250's next year and really get that experience up before moving up to the 450's... but, whatever he does, he has me cheering for him
@bskicrash1 i think he's ready for 450's he is beating top guys that have been in the 450 class for years..that has to show something. i think once he gets back to the lites class he is gunna kill it. that 250f will be like nothin after racing a 450 against the fastest 450 riders in the world
I totally agree with you as to being ready and beating top 450 guys... but i just think of Villipoto and how he said that he wished he stayed in the 250 class one extra year... and he was contending with reed his first year in 450 class... Either way, Canard is a guy that I will be a household name!
bskicrash & jones618, following your comments I agree that Canard is showing that he should be a contender whenever he makes the the full-time move to the 450 class. Heck he's a contender now--he's just not in the points race. bskicrash, I get the point you are making that although Canard is riding well he should take his time, get experience and not move up too fast. However, I also see what jones618 is saying. Canard is beating full-time guys now...why waste time in the 250s.Great comments
