Awww grandma is adorable. I will be making homemade adobo chicken for the first time today. I usually only used the packaged stuff. I hope grandma is still around cooking for the family.
Oh one more thing Lola. I kinda notice you are a Niners fan. So you must be from the Bay area huh? E-mail me your address and your size so I can send you a Cowboys or Tx.RAngers Shirt. So the next time you make a video you can represent us Filipinos from the Lonestar State. Hehehehe
That's the real cook right there. No measuring... Just taste and instinct. Reminds me of my Mom and my Lola's from my Mom and Dads side. Galing La, very well explained and said.

too bad. most filipino americans don't know how to speak the filipino language, unlike other asians like Chinese, Vietnamese, etc, which they still do speak their own language. well... at least FilAms do still eat Filipino food. Thanks for that.
Sup Nanay!!!! Spor-in the niner's all day everyday...SoCAL niner here Westup!!! Silver and wack i mean weak i mean black...not here. LOL. Nice one on the adobo nanay.
Thanks for sharing. Grandmothers always have the best recipes and knowledge from time past. I am pleased to have you sharing her secrets with us. All the best.

I love when she says "I don't measure." She doesn't have to, it's just in her!! LOL I wish my grandmother was still around from the Philippines!!! R.I.P
That's one of the secret of lola's adobo. washing her hands while cooking, in that way she saves time and money. if only we follow lola's style of cooking, we won't have water problems!
I was watching this video and thinking "Wow her accent sounds just like my Inay-Is'nt that cool--(then I looked closely at your Nanay's shirt-FORTY NINER-I read) Immediatly I thought--Yeah and this Nanay is cool too!) Yummy recipe Many thanks!
I meant to type "weighed"...anyways...i forgot to say lola's english is quite good too! Reminds me again of my lolas and aunts and my very own momma! Kudos to you guys responsible for this vid!I'm actually cooking adobo right now using online help to refresh my memory coz I don't really cook...only when I'm overseas and missing pinoy dishes a lot! Got no choice as there's no pinoy restos round here in this part of Canada. Hahaha!
Hahaha! I couldn't help but laugh when lola poured the water and guided it with her hand.Yes that what she did, she kinda wieghed or controlled the amount of water with her hand and not washed her hand with it. That's just typical pinoy cooking. I saw it all the time with my mom and my late lolas...I so miss them so much since I'm overseas right now and I just love our pinoy culture.Good job lola!!! Ths vid gave me a warm feeling. Thnx for sharing guys!
