V-drums are great, but nothing beats Acoustics. I find that E-drum brain pre-set sounds (especially the cymbal sounds) are really bland.

I still wound trade the pure sound of acoustic drums for an E-kit. Unless you get a really good kit they tend to sound mono-tone. I would never tour with an e-kit with my band, It could be handy in a studio though. They do have their benefits, but to me the cons outweigh the pros.

if there is a line on the back of the neck (the long part lol) thats a truss rod inside. truss rod keeps the neck stable and hods pressure for the guitar.

Actually you're perfectly capable to earn the things from now. If you're 5 you can even start from there. I've been playing guitar for 5 years and I'm 15. I have a £150 Farida with a 10W amplifier. I wish I had all those things too, but to be honest it wouldn't inspire me to play music more than I already am.
