  • 1:06 is complete rap flash back!!!!

  • I AM... THE RED DRAGON!!!

  • as big as a freak as he is in this movie, ralph fiennes is such a sex bomb...

  • 2:01 to 2:06. I wonder why this wasn't mentioned in the film.

  • but hes in this movie...tht couldnt have been anyone else

  • "Do you dream much Will?"

  • I never did get the choice of edward norton in this role.

  • ed norton ur so handsome..

  • Edward, Ralph, Hopkins can act both way- either a nut job or good guy.

But certain actors like Vince Vaughn or De Niro can act perfectly only as weirdos.

    And that

Ferrell guy that acts in comedies is useless.

  • whay

  • i love that film ♥ best film ever

  • Hopkin's face at 0:58 always gives me the creeps.

  • they should leave hannibal the orginal by the guy with white cuz atleast he made sense .

best film by anthony kopkins the hannibal lol.

  • 1:40 hey it looks like jack black.

  • Damn, almost all Edward Norton films have a great twist! "Roy" (Primal Fear) has a special participation in the ending, sort of. Everyone who has watched Primal Fear before watching this movie is surely surprised. =D

  • Does anyone preger Manhunter, I think manhunter is by a better director, brian ox does a good job, hopkins is good too but cox is better as a younger version of hannibal

  • @r4h4al but in all fairness with the age hopkins is older than he was 10 years before red dragon was made, when he did silence of the lambs

  • volgorde is: reddragon 1981, silence of the lambs 1988, hannibal 1999, hannibal rising 2006. alle datums zijn van de boeken.

the order is: reddragon 1981, silence of the lambs 1988, hannibal 1999, hannibal rising 2006. alle the datums are from the written books. movies are made in different order. first silence, reddragon, hannibal, hannibal rising.

  • @roelofkeful Movie order: Manhunter (based off Red Dragon, 1986), Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Hannibal Rising.

  • Manhunter was so much better than this, Brian Cox is much more creepy than Anthony Hopkins and the guy who played Will Graham played teh whole psycologicl problems aspect much better.

  • Manhunter was deplorable 80's (aka The Dark Age Resurgence) effluence. I cannot describe how much I hate synthesisers! A textbook example of a film that relies heavily on style over substance. Red Dragon was infinitely superior.

Note: Brian Cox depiction was sterile to say the least. It is almost sacrilege to consider his portrayal of every ones favourite cannibalistic psychiatrist superior to Anthony Hopkins.

  • @somename99 no one is creepier than anthongy hopkins. it was the high of his career and the line about fava beans was immortalised by him!

  • I couldn't agree with you more.

  • bullshit

  • love this movie..great cast!!!

i think graham is very interesting. Even though he has the hability to think as a serial killer he doesnt succumb to it.. instead he chooses to hunt them

  • as a big fan of the book, i think they realy realy shouldve given ralph fiennes about another 6 months to bulk up for the part of dollarhyde as hes supposed to be much bigger and stronger than will graham, in the book francis is described as being built like a linebacker and having a body sculpted well enough to be a pro bodybuilder. ralph fiennes did not look like the character was supposed to

  • so is the book good i got it from my teachers class i liked it so much i borrowed it

  • could som1 tell me the hannibal movies in order like silence of the lambs and hannibal rising

  • Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon/Manhunter, Silence, Hannibal

  • @DrHannibalLecterMD

Hannibal Rising was actually written last, and the movie is the most recent. It's just a prequel. The movie doesn't star Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal.

  • @0121ED

red dragon, silence of the lambs, hannibal

  • Release: Manhunter, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon (same story like manhunter), Hannibal Rising.

Story: Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal.

  • add me if you like this movie!

  • @DrHannibalLecterMD

    would you recommend watching Manhunter?

  • Yes. It's not the same without Anthony Hopkins, but it's good.

  • @youtubs3 hell yeah, Manhunter is a very disturbing movie and runs circles around silence of the hams.

  • "I have oodles" In that one word, I am sold on this

  • anthony hopkins is creepy :S

  • i really enjoyed this movie.. edward norton is a great actor... i really believed him as will graham

  • OMG my forensics teacher looks and acts like Hannibal lecter (-minus the murdering lol)

    Dr. k.... Dr. lecter

  • seriously? who know maybe he's a cannibal in secret! lol

  • Manhunter was more engaging than this - too theatrical.

  • a parte que mais gosto do filme é a da cena cujo pequeno trecho está em 1:19.

    Ralph Fiennes's body... huuuummmmm

  • This is by far the best film in the hannibal movies.

  • is this like a spin off from the first movie? Because it had alot of details from the first.

P.S. why is hannibal still alive? I thought he would be on death row!

  • @zakarias1886

It's an adaptation of the first Hannibal Lecter book Red Dragon.

Lecter got an insanity plea so the death penalty doesn't apply.

  • This is more faithful to the book and it's written by the same screenwriter of Silence of the Lambs.

  • Its a prequel

  • @zakarias1886 they declared him insane

  • Manhunter was better

  • Nyeh I've seen alot of comments for people whining for it to be posted. Maybe I should put it up. :/

  • Edward Norton is the shit!!!!

  • "I have oodels!" :P

  • althought i am ridley scott's fans...

but i think red dragon really better than hannibal (2001)

  • hannibal sucked. the only reason im not saying its worse than hannibal rising is the fact that it has hopkins as lecter. i mean, y no jodie foster as clarice? and the whole part with the pigs still creep me out

  • This was much better than Hannibal but it didn't "suck"

  • this is actually a very very good movie. We all know that silence of the lambs is still the best one and we can still talk about it for hours but this one and hannibal i realy like. In the right order offcourse...

  • Manhunter is better.

  • great trailer! and great movie of course.

  • wut was better, hannibal or red dragon

  • hey i'm just watching this films i loveeee it!!!! great! so crazyy but great

  • I just finished reading Red Dragon yesterday. I'm 15. I'd say the film looks very good but (obviously) there are some heavily modified parts. (Molly's son is called Willy!)

  • My good, i havent seen the movie but i´m reading the book, such a great book !! i didint knew this one was before the silence of the lambs !!

  • hannibal lecter rocks i got all of the books

  • NOTICE:

asleymannino278 has been blocked for continuous spamming

  • damnnnn this film was tv the other night but i forgot to watch!!

  • is this the remake of manhunter?

  • @Sh0ked

Essentially, yes. But it's supposed to be an adaptation of the first Hannibal Lecter book Red Dragon. Manhunter simply changed the name when they made the movie in the 80s.

  • yes it is boss !

    my dad told me :-)

  • kind of. it's also an adaption of the novel by tom harris.

  • im gonna watch them in that order now-

    wanna see something freaky google

    Our Secret kitchen

Its pretty femcans that eat fat guys like pigs

  • woooow love this film its soooo sad

  • ha! "OODLES!"

  • yea manhunter came first so it was more original but it's soooo dated. i thought Red Dragon was better and scarier.

  • wow, manhunter was way better. Hopkins overacted quite a bit.

  • who the heck are u to judge anthony hopkins's acting!!

  • fantastic movie seen it already at "bigmovies4free", anybody else seen it? want to watch it again and again!

  • Dyou think he turned into a cannibal JUST because his name was Hannibal? I mean, maybe he was an ironic poet!

  • no watch hannibal rising

  • MANHUNTER>red dragon

but this is still a good version

  • the orginal story is suppose to be in germany, but whatever

ps 1:40 JACK BLACK? IS THAT YOU?? haha

  • didn´t liked this movie

    !

  • great movie! its online at 'bigmovies4free' ! seen it twice already lol a really fun film

  • I so need to see this series and read the books im 14 so like I was always to afraid watch it but its such wonderful acting by anthony and ralph fiennes how can I ressist their both cool as cuccumbers my favourite villains looks like a great great movie! What order should I watch them including hannibal rising?

  • Silence of the minds, Hannibal rising, red dragon and I think there was another movie out there.... can't recall at the moment.

  • @Fwickie wasnt it manhunter something like that and its lambs not mind..oh and there was also hannibal

  • LMAO i wrote minds instead of lambs... ah I'm so silly :')

  • Oh Hannibal

  • I'm afraid you would have to wait 4 years to see these movies. In the meantime you can prepare for watching them -_-

  • if you want to watch them chronologically watch: Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and then Hannibal.

Silence of the Lambs came out first, then hannibal, then red dragon, then hannibal rising, so you could watch it in that order.

i usuallywatch it starting with red dragon through til hannibal, and stop at hannibal rising cause it was a bit disappointing.

  • "manhunter" is the best..... (Brian Cox as Lecter)

  • I thought he did a good job as Lecter however I think in Manhunter they didnt use him enough, which really bummed me out. Although Will Petersen's performance in Manhunter is enough to go see it.

  • @dieticetea

Lecter wasn't originally intended as the main character. He only appeared in the Red Dragon book three times, while the story centered around Will Graham. Same with Silence, Clarice was the main character. The only reason why the character did so well was because of the Silence movie.

  • yeah no shit i read the books too lol.

The part that bummed me out is I wanted to see more how Cox interrupted Lecter. I enjoy hopkin's interpretation, however, when I read the books I just envisioned something else (I had the benefit of reading the books before the movies ...so I had no Hopkins-Lecter inmy mind lol)

Now to that point, I did see Red Dragon the film before Manhunter. I enjoyed both, but I think Red Dragon wins it for me - just slightly (By a factor of Ed Norton lol)

  • definately better than hopkins

  • @dieticetea No way! Manhunter was first

  • @dieticetea Do you mean the movie hannibal rising was disappointing or the book?

  • can somebody tell me is it scary to watch??? I'd like to watch it but I don't want to have nightmares then XD

  • This is not a scary movie.

  • thanks! Then I'll watch it

  • It is scary movie! Anthony hopkins gets naked O_O

  • lol XD I'm talking seriously is it?

  • Sorry, I wasn't talking serious :D

  • when?

  • When? Buhahaha I bet you want to know don't you? o_O

  • This film doesnt compare to MANHUNTER!

  • man I love edward looks interesting havent seen the other lector films

  • The book is SO different n better =/

but this is still a good movie =]

  • great movie... n Hannibal Raising looks like shit

  • silence of the lambs and hannibal were the best movies! the only thing that bugs me is that its with different actors each time.

  • Red Dragon FREESTYLE!!

    /watch?v=sQyqV2StLeM#t=4m30s

  • fantastic movie it's got a gr8 cast of actors. i found a copy at "bigmovies4free" - hope they make another :P

  • hannibal rising is one of the worst films ever and red dragon is like a family friendly version of the silence (bret ratner totally sucks).

the masterpieces are the silence of the lambs and hannibal.

  • I wouldn't say the worst movies ever. I actually like how he picks the Eastern front as Hannibal's birthplace, which is very fit for the character's cannibalistic tedencies. It is the worst out of the series, that I do agree with. Thomas Harris wrote the screenplay for it, so I thought it was going to be good.

  • Ed Norton is an amazing actor.

  • omg!!!

edward norton is sooo fucking hot!! ♥

  • fantastic movie a really fun film. i found a copy at "bigmovies4free" - hope they make another :P

  • so this was before silence of the lambs rite?

  • I have grown such a hugde intrest in these films that I really want to see them all. I have seen silence of the lambs. I thought it was a great film. Now I just need to see all of them.

  • silence hannibal and hannibals risings are on here.

red dragon u can rent or find online.

  • The best films of the Dr. Lecter saga are The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. Two masterpieces of cinema.

Red Dragon is just good, has a superb cast but the director sucks and Hannibal Rising is almost pure crap.

  • did u see manhunter? thats the first in the series made 1986... Red dragon is the remake, which one

    do u recommend to watch?

  • i know manhunter was made first, i didn't see it, yet. but i don't include it in the "series" because lecter (or lector) is played by brian cox, and watching some videos here you can tell he plays the character a lot different from the way of anthony hopkins did. and hannibal and red dragon were done with the silence of the lambs as the reference.

anyway, i think munhunter must be one hundred times better than red dragon, because michael mann is an excellent director while ratner sucks.

  • both!

  • red dragon

  • I agree. It was my favorite out of all the movies about hannibal

  • Such a shame 4 great books only spawned 2 great movies

    Silence of the lambs- Great

    Red Dragon- Great

    Hannibal- Crap

    Hannibal Rising-Crap

  • Um. Correction....

Hannibal Rising - MOST EPIC MOVIE EVER!!!!

  • See should we be listening to someone who uses epic not knowing what it actually means? When you say epic without the knowledge of it's meaning you don't come off too bright just to let you know.

  • I actually am aware of the dictionary definition of epic, thank you very much. I also am aware of the contemporary connotation that is implied with it's use. That bright enough for you?

  • well then why would you use it in a context where you come off as ignorant?

  • Like I said, contemporary connotation - I hear it used a lot more as a synonym for awesome than "a long narrative poem". Unless you're in English class...

  • epic does not always apply to a poem it's also an adjective descirbing something of great length of wich hannibal rising wasn't

  • But it can also mean heroic or grand - which I do believe applies. What's more heroic than avenging your sister's murder?

  • it's not enough with a good story, you have to know how to tell it, and tell it well, hannibal rising completely failed in that point, as red dragon.

  • Neo beating Agent Smith to save the machine and human world...Thats heroic..

  • hannibal rising was the WORST in the series -

Silence of the Lambs & Hannibal were the BEST:)

  • don't agree with hannibal but hannibal rising was crap silence of the lambs was incredable

  • I have to disagree with you and "acefilms" Hannibal Rising was a great movie!

Also your statement is just a little to bold.

  • my statement was BOLD??? how do you mean - coz I said hannibal rising was crap? well its true - well thats my opinion - you probably like it and hey thats cool - we all have our taste:)

  • Hannibal rising is genius =]

  • agree

  • the trailer looks awesome,Im gonna watch this also edward is one of my all time favorite actors

  • 2:01 is it a deleted scene? i didn't see it in the film

  • ya it is

  • You never felt a sudden rush of panic....

  • im actully reading this book i cnt wait to finish it bucuz then i wuld have finished the whole series (:

  • make sure you're volume isn't on too high when you start this...mine was and the loud noise at the beginning made me scream a little...

fantastic movie, the best one in the series! well, it's hard to judge which one was the best. i liked all of them equally, maybe hannibal a bit less, but they are all very good!

  • you username scares me,, ive watched hannibal rising, hannibal, silence of the lambs, but not this.

  • i havent seen it yet, but i've seen The Silence Of The Lambs and Hannibal. such amazing movies. Anthony Hopkins is my all time favorite actor :)

  • yep. i've watched this movie a couple of times. its really underrated. many people knows "silence of the lambs" but not as many knows "red dragon".. i like both.

  • i've watched the movies (hannibal rising, red dragon, silence of the lambs, hannibal).. anthony is excellent actor!!! but also i want to say maybe the movie "red dragon" is a bit underrated.. its genious.. watch the last 30 minuted in the movie carefully.. its perfection. its hard to live up to "silence of the lambs" because its excellent.. but "red dregon" lives up to it. :-)

  • that guy was crazy, were he's lifting weoghts and saying I'll be a good boy grandma lol

  • i want that tattoo on my back

  • I do, I have Oodles. What a line.

  • Edward Norton gave a bravo performance! He made this movie work i think!

  • Red Dragon was a classic alltime movie!

  • Silence of the Lambs was absolutely revolutionary, with its dark intensity and mysticism. The Red Dragon is a close second imo, not as good but good enough. Hannibal was just awful and Hannibal Rising I wont even dignify watching.. what made Lecter scary was his mysticism. He is a pure artistic genius and yet he is a cannibalistic killer. Any atempt to explain this unique character will only ruin him.

  • I agree with what you say about Silence Of The Lambs and though Hannibal was quite bad I must say the hanging scene was quite amazing, Hannibal Rising was good to a point where it was interesting to find out how Hannibal became what he is, it just wasn't AS excellent as Silence Of The Lambs

  • i agree on what u write. very good comment. read my comment to this clip.

  • "I have oodles"

*shivers* i love the acting in this movie. in my opinion this movie was the only one that was really scary, but i loved it. this and hannibal rising were the best movies in my opinion.

but this movie was so interesting. the obsession with the painting, the murders. very philosophical in a way, dontcha think?

  • I don't get how people find these movies scary. I watched silence of the lambs and hannibal today for the first time and wasn't scared once nor grossed out, and i'm 15..

  • maybe you're too young.

  • Comment removed

  • I was 10 when the movie came out. I couldn't sleep the next few nights. But I wanted to see it bc my brothers, 16 and 17 at that time had the dvd. Ok I've just watched like 10 minutes because it scared the shit outta me haha. Today mh, actually not thaaat scaring. But for an ten-year-old it was too much.

  • hannibal didnt get enough screeen time in this movie! silence and hannibal connected more

  • He is in the Red Dragon book even less. Red Dragon isn't really about Lecter.

  • In my option better than Silence of the Lambs.Mainly because of Ed Norton and Anthony Hopkins performance.

  • hm, I would really like to see this movie, but I know how it ends, and I don't want to see that (n)

  • Ed Norton...as always, was excellent in this film. Great casts. And I like the last cell scene. It connects to the Silence of the Lambs.

  • How did Brett Ratner make such an awesome movie? It's highly irregular for him.

  • I like Fracis Dolarhyde in this movie.

    Because I like Ralph Fiennes.

He is the greatest movie actor in Hollywood, I think.

  • I really think we're making progress.

  • Go Hannibal!!!!!!!

  • The thing I love most about Hannibal is he's not an actual serial killer. I mean, he doesn't choose innocent people. And he childhood is so touching, it's amazing to see how he transforms into what he 'is' slowly throughout the films. Truthfully, the REAL Hannibal Lector (the guy they based him off) is a real creep. But the one they portray in the movies is simply amazing. I would have loved to meet him, talk with him, were he real.

  • He would find you dull and boring, and will chop you to little pieces and feed with them his guest, after all he killed a census guy only because he was doing is work.

  • "would you perhaps leave me your home number?"

    LOLLLL

  • ive seen The Rising of Hannibal, The Silence of The Lambs, and Hannibal, and they where all great movies, among the best ive ever seen

  • Good movie, isn't better than The silence of the lambs, but is quite good, and the cast are fantastic, especially Ed Norton, Hopkins and Fiennes. The first 10 minutes are fantastic.

    Great job.
