the German army had a semi automatic rifle as well, as good as the M1, in fact, had more accuracy and was more reliable then the m1... but the soldiers still wanted kar98ks... all german soldier that could choose a weapon, would choose kar98k in open battlefield. And even with the stg44, lots of soldiers wanted to use kar98k still... The range and firepower of this weapon cannot be compared with other weapons at that time.

And I've had a k98 jam up on me. the bolt wouldnt move, and a round was jamed in the barrel, I had to take the rifle apart to get it out.

The manual bolt system give the weapon the best power and accuracy. The M16 has great power at low range.

i don't know if u heard but the 1903 Springfield was more accurate than the kar98k, the American GI's would have fire fights in ww1 and ww2 with Germans and their kar98k's and have kills 300-400 yards on iron sights, some even greater one account was 800 yards on iron sights. oh yeah i prefer the enfield over kar98k

The Springfield is an incorrect labeling. It is the M1903 which was a derivative of the 1898 Mauser action. It was improved and fired a better round than the Kar98k.
The M1903 could fire faster because chamber pressure dropped quicker than the Kar98k. It was also slightly more accurate and even more so at longer ranges.

The Russians were the Allies.
And I've had a k98 jam up on me. the bolt wouldnt move, and a round was jamed in the barrel, I had to take the rifle apart to get it out.
And the M1 has more firepower because you dont need to break your point of aim to cycle the next round, like the K98, and its semi-automatic meaning you can put down range much more firepower like a stream of lead, not one at a time like the Mauser 98k
