mostly are safe as long as dev uses script setting stock permissions for all files while manual copying ends up in messed up permisions/owners/grups what leads to messing up device
@byczybyk Yes you are right. The original permission is rwxr-xr-x. You can do it by using root explorer like application. The first part rwx means Owner permission, second part r-x is for Group and third part r-x is for Owner.
r-Read
w-Write
x-Execute
I hope this will clear your doubts.
If you are keeping as rwxrwxr-x, till now no one reported any issue. But for some critical files, we have to follow the original permission. In that cases it will clearly mention in forum. Thanks br..
@byczybyk The missing happened only because in the original thread it is not mentioned :) anyway your point is right better set the permission as original. Thanks for your comment...

@HDTechVideo i had no dubts, you are missing a part of video mentioning to fix permissions and so =)
byczybyk 5 months ago
@byczybyk Actually in this case it is not a must. Without setting any permission it is working perfectly.

@byczybyk The missing happened only because in the original thread it is not mentioned :) anyway your point is right better set the permission as original. Thanks for your comment...

belive me it is unsafe to use sysetm files wo setting original permissions
byczybyk 5 months ago
@byczybyk agreed br.. then rooting, flashing rom all are not safe :)
HDTechVideo 5 months ago
so those are wrong, should be rexr-xr-x like you like to say it this way
also check owner/group should be root/root and it is not will be sdcard/system or something like that if you copied it from internal sdcard
in most cases will work but sometimes might infact alter gps performance
byczybyk 5 months ago
@byczybyk But no one reported any issue till now. I'm using this for the last 5 months.
HDTechVideo 5 months ago
no comment, not setting back permissions and groups anythin? newb ...
byczybyk 5 months ago
@byczybyk Without changing anything its working for me. And the permission showing in my phone after doing this is rwxrwxr-x.
