  • thank you so much!i have this whole album without the name of the album and i spent an hour searching for it..i had a good time though listening to so many other mark's creations.

  • I searched everywhere for this after hearing in on a '98 John Hancock commercial (!?) I used my IPhone Soundhound and thought there must be a mistake. Mark Knopfler instead of Mozart or Schuber! Who knew! I think it it the most gorgeous thing I have ever heard.

  • This is how heaven must sound like...... so perfect. Thank you Mark for writing this great music!

  • Origenal good!!!

  • It was a slower version of this song wasn't it? :S

could somethin tell me wich song was?

  • @manes14 Well this is the original tune.. I don't know to which version you're reffering to.

  • My heart is melting. Please, anyone, composer and full title. I saw the film and the tune has haunted me ever since.

  • @shannon7190 Marcus Knopflerius himself. And that's really true.

  • @shannon7190 oh yes... check out "Claudia's theme" from the western Unforgiven and guess who the composer is. Also very surprising.

  • @id53 Yes. Claudia's Theme is quite beautiful. But Knopfler tune haunts you. I get goosebumps every time I play it. Maybe it's the terrible beauty of the young boy weeping over the savagely ravished Tralala that does it.

  • Heard it at work and we were all having a discussion over which composer this had to be. Mozart, Bach, ... Simply love it.

  • Its amazing and beautiful. When I listen this kind of beautiful music I think who composed this. This musice that made someone really have a good mind.

  • @blackorredorwhite123

" A Love Idea " is the original theme music of movie " Last Exit to Brooklyn "

composed by Sir Mark Knopfler and performed by Guy Fletcher.

  • Its good like "Deborah's theme" from Once Upon a Time In America

  • this music is too sad but beautiful to describe!

  • Guys What was the music played in the bar when Tra flashed her tits?? Was it Soul ? or something... women vocal

  • yes i dont have a single friend. does that bother me? no. i have a brother. he was the one that scratched the living shit out of my skyline. i loved him. not anymore. future friends can turn on their stoves, wait for them to turn red, then stick there stupid ugly faces to them. fuck that. i dont need friends

  • i used to listen to this in my car. i had two 12 inch subs, and 2 amps. one of the amps was a rockford fosgate that was all powerful. trust me i tested it. (i wired 6 subs to it in parallel and it didnt stop, and im a critical listener. i hear distortion before it happens). the car was a skyline GTST. anyway my point is, thats a good song. where did i get the test subs? i had friends back then.

  • When I first heard this, I was mesmorised, and assumed that it was a classical piece that I was unaware of. Little did I know.................absolutely wonderful.

  • I have the original vinyl record..it's a masterpiece, for sure.

  • so share with us, please

  • Wonderful.

  • beseingyou6, I am in Melbourne Australia

and heard it 5 or 6 years ago as background on an ABC 774 program.

  • A beautiful composition, took me quite a while to trace it after hearing it on radio.

  • what radio channel played this?

  • yes it is

  • simply perfect

  • @stratisofthesea - Agreed. The young guy's infatuation with Tralala and his image of innocence amongst the degradation surrounding him - chokes me up when I hear this piece - Ok I'm a softy, so shoot me! :)
